Today, while shopping, my six-year-old son threw a tantrum because I wouldn't buy him a video game. I ended up having to grab his arm and leave the store. He screamed that I was kidnapping him, at which point I was socked in the face and pinned to the floor by three bystanders. FML

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, I went shopping with my two sons and my wife. We got separated after a while, and I spotted my son in the video game section of the store. I snuck up behind him and playfully slapped him on the back of the head. The kid turned around and it wasn't my son. His mom was none to happy. FML
Today, my 6 year-old daughter got mad at me for not buying her yet another expensive doll. I had to pull her away, and she started screaming for help. The next thing I know, another shopper puts me in a chokehold and calls for security, all while my daughter smirks. FML
Today, I told my son he couldn't have a toy. He threw a fit, looked me in the eye, and screamed, "Daddy's right! You are a bitch!" The whole store was watching. FML
Today, I saw a kid throwing a tantrum in a supermarket. Thinking it was a matter of lack of discipline, I waited for the kid’s mother to come out of the bathroom to tell her how naughty her son was being. I then got to watch her beat her son to the point of unconsciousness. FML
Today, my 6-year-old daughter threw a tantrum in the middle of a store, all because I wouldn't buy her a pushup bra. FML
Today, I took my 6 year-old to work. A normally docile child, she chased me around with her toy - beating me with it while all my colleagues watched - not stopping despite me requesting her to. When she finally lost said toy, she threw a huge tantrum. Guess who's banned from my office. FML
Today, my child was refusing to leave the playground. I had to pry her, screaming and crying, from the monkey bars. I then realized I had been assaulting someone else's kid. FML
Today, I smacked my kid on top of the head for spinning the display rack while I was looking at greeting cards. It wasn't until he dramatically screamed and dropped to the floor wailing that I realized he wasn't my daughter. FML
Today, my 6-year-old son was so angry at me for not buying him overpriced candy at the airport that he told a security guard I had a machine gun in my suitcase. The interrogation was not pleasant. FML
Today, I went to the movies with my husband and our 6-year-old son. My husband kept stealing popcorn from the guy next to him, to the point where the guy punched him in the face. The movie was stopped, the police were called, and my son is now inconsolable. FML

The moment spanking becomes about the parent, it's abuse. Spanking must be used to discipline, and not relieve frustration. My mom spanked us, and we all turned out well. I love my mom and always have. I admit I feared her wrath growing up, but that fear never stopped me loving her, but it did stop me doing many things that may have potentially hurt myself or others. I will spank my kids, but only hard enough to send a message. When my mom hit me it never hurt (it was on the butt) but I used to cry and lie on my bed with the guilt that I had disappointed her so much that she had to hit me.

Nah, an xbox with the games and accessories is expensive. A better alternative would be to sell the console and all the games and buy something nice for yourself.

My parents would have brought their hands down so swiftly, I wouldn't have time to scream that nonsense. Kids are kids but you can't allow them to run you, because they can grow up to be adults that allow their children to run around and **** shit up without consequence.

Jeez, what is wrong with kids these days? When I was a kid there were two rules when we shopped: 1: "no means no" and 2: "if you behave you can get a candy bar when we go through the checkout". And the shocking part is, it actually worked. 74 cents is a small price to pay to shut your kid up folks.
