Today, while delivering pizzas, someone ordered $19.41 in pizza and wings. After finally finding her appartment, she paid me in two sandwich bags full of pennies and nickels. I had to count them out before giving her the pizza. We aren't allowed to enter the residence, and it was 22 degrees. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, while I was delivering pizza in the torrential downpour, I waited 5 minutes in the pouring rain for an old lady to dig 20 bucks out of her purse. Her total was $19.99. She told me to keep the change and make lots of money. FML
Today, I was delivering pizzas for my summer job. I got a big order to deliver for a fellow graduate's party. While I was being paid for the order my friend shows up and says "Don't pay him, his parents are rich, he can handle it." Then they shut the door and took off. The bill was $75. FML
Thanks, lady
Today, I was delivering pizza in the rain. A woman answered the door, saw me soaking wet and said, "Wow this rain is terrible, it must be horrible to be out delivering in it." She then tipped me 21 cents. FML
Today, I had to watch my neighbor's daughter for 10 hours. She wouldn't eat anything I had to offer, so I ordered a pizza for $19 + a $5 tip = $24. Her father came by to pick her up, thanked me, and gave me a $20 bill. I effectively just paid to watch his kid. FML
Today, I got a $20 tip from an old lady I delivered pizza to. Ecstatic, I walked back to my car where there was a $30 parking fine waiting for me. FML
Did I teach you NOTHING?
Today, I ordered pizza for dinner and left cash by the door so my son could pay for it, in case it arrived before I got home. I told him they should get all the money, but I just found the tip. Apparently he thought I'd miscounted. I'm a server. FML
Today, at my retail job, a woman came to my till with her purchases. After I scanned all her items, she handed me two small bags. One was filled with nickels and dimes. The other was filled with cents. Her total was $28.53. The coins amounted to $22.30. FML
Today, I was bitched out by a pizza delivery man. I didn't have the cash to pay him for a pizza I didn't even order. FML
Today, I was doing takeout orders at the restaurant I work at. I spent a long while putting together this guy's $135.00 order. When he finally got there to pick it up, I told him to fill out the credit card slip. I looked at it after he left. He gave me a 40 cent tip. FML
Coinbased
Today, I rang up a customer’s items. The total came out to $24.67. She handed me a bag full of coins and looked at me expectantly. I asked if she had any other payment methods; she got irritated and said ,“If I did, I wouldn’t have given you this, stupid!” I had to count them. She was still 6 dollars short. FML

Why does 22 degrees matter?

22 degrees isn't even cold, bro.

22 degrees is cold if it's Fahrenheit.

Someone tried that BS when I worked retail. Always hold the item until you've finished counting if you accept it or tell them HELL NAW. I preferred the latter, surprisingly they found bills after that.

That's what I was thinking too. If not refusing the payment, just keep the food until all money is counted. If they complain about the food being cold, bounce the complaint back to the customer.

People do it to short change. Hoping you will get impatient and not count it. But OP is responsible and counts it anyways :)

If it was celsius, what a dick. Fahrenheit, bigger dick, smaller balls. If they are paying for pizza with pennies and nickels, would you really wanna go in their abode?

That horrible person deserves the cold pizza you should let her have. Leave it out in the cold for her!!

Ugh I feel your pain. I used to work at a shitty liquor store and we always had drunkards come in at like 1:30am and try to pay for $30-$40 items with baggies of change. Rolled is one thing, but I usually made them stand off to the side while I counted it, or just refused it, cause more often than not they were short by at least 5 bucks or so and thought I wouldn't count it. Bastards.
