Today, the little bell in my car that lets you know your keys are still in your ignition went out. How did I find out? I locked myself out of both my house and my car. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I locked my keys in my car. I had a spare key in my wallet, that I also left in the car. FML
Today, I locked myself out of my car. While walking home to retrieve the spare, I realized I locked my house keys inside the house this morning. Now I must decide whether to break into my house or car. FML
Today, after locking myself out of my house, I let myself into my car to wait on someone with a spare key. It took me 15 minutes to realise the house and car key share the same ring. FML

This ol' truck
Today, while driving, I realized I had left my phone on top of my car when I was getting in. Panicking, I drove back to look for it. I found it in the middle of the street, still intact. Yay! When I went back to my car, I noticed I had locked my door, and the keys were in the ignition. FML

Someone called the police and I had to explain that I lived there. I forgot to grab the spare when I went to talk to the police officers I locked the door behind me. FML
Today, I shut my finger in the car door. The door locked. Then I dropped the keys on the ground and couldn't reach them. FML

I once drove 12 miles away from my car keys and had to abandon my unlocked car at a seedy gas station to Uber with my two toddlers to my husband's work and back to get the keys from him because the car didn't yell at me like usual when he got out with the keys in his pocket.

It’s too bad you didn’t hear the slightly smaller bell that alerts you of a malfunction of the little bell.

This just reminds me on Breaking Bad. "The buzzer. The buzzer that let's you know the keys are in the ignition."

That bell seems overworked. How about remembering your keys instead of relying on something to tell you you're an idiot?
