Today, the girl I've loved for years kissed me. Then she started crying and wiping her mouth, and had a panic attack. I had to help her through it, tell her that it was no big deal, and that it would never happen again. FML

Unfortunately, she said she has no idea why she kissed me. She said she is confused and doesn't know, and I told her to think about it. She said she just didn't know, but it was probably to test the waters. She did enjoy the kiss, if that makes up for anything.

Declare your love for her and tell her the day she kissed you was the best day of your life, don't hide it. Maybe she feels the same and didn't want to lose you as a friend, hence why she panicked.

You're a sweet person for being there for her OP. Just be the best person you can be to her. As someone who has panic attacks, I personally get triggered sometimes by even the smallest things, so don't feel bad OP. She's the one who kissed you, so she probably does like you OP. Just be patient.

She may have a bad past with relationships or maybe she even just started feeling triggered for some reason. Panic attacks are hard to control and can be random, and it doesn't particularly mean she thought he was disgusting.

He never said she wiped her mouth in disgust. Just that she wiped her mouth. Maybe he left moisture on it. I know when my husband kisses me and my lips are left with any amount of wetness, I wipe my mouth.

If my husband leaves any moisture on my mouth after s kiss, I wipe my mouth, and vice versa. It's not necessarily a rude gesture.

I have panic attacks so I know how they are that was extreme and maybe rude isn't the word to use but she should still apologize because I know even though he helped her through it she emotional eviscerated op.

If she kissed you and she isn't twelve then that means it wasn't a dare and she wanted to do it. People with anxiety disorders can tell you: something doesn't always have to "trigger" a panic attack. Yes, it could have been nerves, but it's also quite possible the attack had nothing to do with you. Many can't explain WHY they get hit with these, it just happens at times, seemingly at random. Don't beat yourself up about it.

My boyfriend once had a panic attack after kissing me. They happen at random. He couldn't control it. It doesn't mean she hated kissing you.

Awe, don't fret op. If she didn't like you she wouldn't have kissed you. I have a few friends who get panic attacks and they usually happen if they get a trigger of some sort or they're really freaked out. She was probably so nervous to kiss you that it caused that to happen. And if that's the case, then she likes you a lot more than you think !
