Today, some construction workers kept going in and out the door next to my cubicle. They decided it would be easier to just prop the door open for the next hour. It's 20 degrees outside, and I'm wearing a dress. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Help, I'm stranded!
Today, at work, it was so windy that it started taking the door off its hinges. The door now won't close all the way. I can't leave until someone comes to fix it. FML
GET UP
Today, I left the apartment door open so the construction workers sent by our landlord could work in the kitchen, while I slept in after working a late shift. They knocked on the bedroom door at 7 a.m., asking me to move the bed. FML
Just chilling
Today, my room was so cold that I actually had to wear a coat to enter it without feeling extremely uncomfortable. I have insulated curtains for this exact reason, but it looks like that won't do. FML
Stalling
Today, I was trying on dresses in a stall that requires an employee of the store to have a key to open. After I took off one dress to go to another, an employee quickly opens my door, to give the stall to someone else. The entire store could see me in my granny panties and bra. FML
Asshat invasion
Today, the block where I work had mandatory all-storefront works. I had to be there. The workers asked me for my ladder, cord extensions, driller, complained for 4 hours, and didn't clean after them. Now they're in front of my shop, loudly mocking my looks and clothes, I can hear them through the door. Nice day. FML
Today, I woke up with a skull-splitting headache. I braved the wind and freezing temperatures to get to work. Today is also the day my boss thought it would be cute to let the elementary school band play at our office. FML
Let me out!
Today, I got stuck in a dress in the fitting room and had to call the sales associate for help. She had to crawl under the door to rescue me. FML
Today, I've been freezing in my office for days at work. When I finally complained about it to a coworker, she led me into my office, said, "Let me show you something," then pointed out the thermostat I'd never noticed was even there and turned it up with a pitying look. FML
Today, the company I work for decided to "go green" and stopped using the air conditioner to cool down the office. It is currently 81 degrees at my desk. FML
Today, the men clearing the walkway outside my dorm room with a snowblower didn't realize that my window was open. I looked over from my computer to see snow shooting in, covering my clock, closet, and radio. Now it's melting. FML

You need to keep them abreast of your condition. I suspect you've already made two points about how cold it is that should stand up well to scrutiny. They probably just can't put their finger on them. OK, I'm done.

They did it on purpose to get you to put on your coat. Maybe they are ashamed of how they objectify women with their impure thoughts . . . or maybe you're just fufatugly.

I see what you did there, CMH, and I would like to make a rebuttal...

How did you get to work? You must have gone outside at some point, and probably have a jacket or something. Just wear that. But really, why the hell are you wearing a dress in the middle of winter anyway?!

Did it ever occur to your narrow minded brain that the '20' degrees shes talking about is 20 degrees celcius?
nerfnidalee 17
But she's in America, I doubt she'd be using Celsius... and even if so then why would she be complaining?

Gather some paper and any available wood items to burn in your trash can. Throw your coat over your shoulders and huddle around the trash can rubbing your hands over the fire to warm yourself up. Or you could simply ask them to close the door.

It's twenty degrees outside; you don't have a winter coat? Are you incapable of standing up, walking over to the door, and closing it? Are you likewise incapable of asking them not to prop it open, speaking to your supervisor about doing so, or perhaps even moving somewhere else in the office until they were finished?

thank you #25. I was about to write something similar but you said it all. YDI OP for not standing up for yourself.

It's an office. They're heating the office. Close the door. If they prop it open again, note that no one wants to spend money heating the outdoors, thank you. As far as the 'why are you wearing a dress in the winter' commerts ...Really? Yes folks it happens. There ARE ladies who like to dress in dresses all year round.

YDI for not dressing for the weather.

You deserve it for wearing a dress when it's that cold. DUMBASS.

Well, it's not cold inside. Inside the office she is dressing for the weather.
