Today, my two best friends that I've known since middle school broke up. I'm glad I'm no longer a third wheel but now they won't talk to each other and both use me to complain about the other. FML

Today, my girlfriend of 2 years broke up with me. My 3 best friends, who I've known since I was born, supported me by asking for her number, and now all are trying to date her. FML
Today, I saw my friends talking about plans for later during lunch. I walked over and asked for the plan. My best friend of 12 years gently took me aside, and said "You know that person in each group of friends that is only around to be made fun of? That's you." I just got dumped by my friends. FML
Today, my best friend finally broke up with her knob of a boyfriend. This would be great except now my boyfriend of two years has broken up with me because she's finally single. She introduced us. FML
Today, after almost a year of having threesomes with my “best friend” and her husband, they both confessed that neither of them actually even like me. They just went along with it because they thought it’s what the other wanted. Now they won’t even talk to me. FML
Today, I broke up with my girlfriend because I couldn't trust her after cheating on me with 3 guys. Our friends are sad about it so they're throwing her a pity party. Now I'm single and I have no friends. FML
Today, my supposed "best friend" started going out with the girl I'd just split up with, immediately after she said she wanted to see other people. FML
Today, two girls who are in my class tried to talk to me about each other, not knowing the other had already spoken to me. They are best friends, but also hate each other, and seem to have taken me as the one to shit talk to about each other constantly. FML
Today, my best friend became my ex-best friend. I have finally gotten over the guy she stole from me a year ago and have developed a crush on another guy. My best friend called me today to tell me that she broke up with the first guy and is now going out with my current crush. FML
Today, I found out my "best friends" have gone on a crazy weekend and they didn't invite me. FML
Today, my best friend, who I speak to pretty much all day, every single day, started dating someone and blocked and ghosted me. I guess my only close friend wasn't such a good friend after all. FML

I've been in your situation before ... If you meddle too much, everything ends up being your fault, so be careful OP ! And good luck ! It's a horrible situation to be in, I hope it gets better soon :)

I think I see the problem here... They both seem to be under the impression to you want to listen them talk about the other. You should probably correct that... or sit there in silence until you finally explode at one of them.

Omg, I went through this for years. My two best friends were infatuated with each other, but they're so unhealthy together. Break up, get back together, break up... thankfully one is in Africa now.

Now you know how Harry Potter felt in year 3 and 6 ;) Anyway, you need to tell them that you're not going to pick side and that if they want to keep you as friend, they need to refrain bitching about each other to you.

Tell both of them that they are both your friends, and that you are not going to choose a side, because they both mean a lot to you, so to please quit telling you bad things about the other. Breaking up hurts, and you're there for both, but don't want to hear negative things about either, since they are your friend.

I know exactly how you feel. It sucks being the middle man. It's best to just not take sides and remain neutral about the subject to both of them. It's what I did.
