Today, my sister in law threatened to call CPS on me because I “starved” her children when they spent the night. I didn’t starve them. I made an actual home cooked meal instead of the microwaveable or fast food crap she constantly feeds them. They chose not to eat and threw tantrums instead. FML

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, I bought ingredients for one of my favorite meals and went home to take a nap. When I woke up, my sister had cooked them for everyone else in the house, who ate it all without me. I was told that I shouldn't be angry, but instead proud of my adult sister because, "She cooked!" FML
Today, I came home from work. I was really tired and told my son that I would make him dinner later. He called the cops saying, "Mommy won't feed me." FML
Today, I was making dinner for my family while my wife was at work. She walked in the door with McDonald's, even though she knew I was cooking. Then our kids saw and started screaming that they wanted McDonald's too and that it was unfair. I've told her not to pull this shit and she won't listen. FML
Today, after an emergency, my sister’s kids had to spend the night at my house. While I was asleep, they absolutely trashed my place top to bottom. In the morning my sister came in, said, “Wow, what a mess! Bye!” without offering to help clean up or make her kids do it. They drew on my dog. FML
Today, my mom tried to ground me. In the apartment that I own. Because I didn't eat enough of the dinner that I'd made. FML
Today, I informed my daughter-in-law that I’m a granny, not an unpaid, on-call 24/7 babysitter, and no, I will not be babysitting her kids all day so she can go to an all-day brunch with her similarly selfish girlfriends. She threw an actual tantrum and threatened to put me in a home. FML
Today, my pathetic wannabe influencer sister would not stop recording my kids, even though they and I told her not to. I finally snapped and smashed her phone and now she's threatening to press charges, and our parents are on her side. My kids are scared that they're going to be taken away from me. FML
Today, my mom called, crying that my sister had dropped her kids off on my mom’s doorstep with no intention of coming back for them. I called and screamed at my sister, who then called my brother, who screamed at me for making my sister cry. All of this because her new boyfriend doesn’t like her kids. FML
Today, my entitled brother-in-law called me unannounced as I was having lunch and asked if I had food for him and his wife. I said, "The food I have at home will only be enough for my husband." Now I'm the villain for not cooking enough for sudden unexpected mealtime visitors. FML
Today, my sister is upset that I won’t upturn my entire life by letting her kids stay at my house 4-5 days a week. She decided to move in with her boyfriend after one month, before even introducing him to her kids. Now he’s decided he doesn’t like the kids, so she wants me to keep them. FML

I'm not certain where you grew up, but from where I am from, if I am sitti g your kids then I feed your kids... With what I make, which is the same thing my kids eat, if your kids refuse to eat fine then the get the same treatment as my kids would get... You don't wanna eat that's fine, but legally I am required to provide you meals, not force you to eat them, let her call CPS, law is on my side for this, lol

For real! Like if anything they would question the mom for sending her kids off somewhere and not making sure they were fed something they would eat. Not her kids, and was doing the sister a damn favor in general.

CPS is a bit over the top, but they are her kids and it's her choice what she feeds them If she told you to feed them something, no matter how unhealthy you think it is, then you give them what she tells you to, because that is the type of decision parents get to make and others get not to argue. You'd be just as pissed if someone watched your kids and gave them something else than you had instructed them to.

while that's true. that crap food isn't cheap. all the woman had to do was provide the money to buy the buy food. whenever I sit for anyone they either provide the food they want their kids to eat OR they provide the money to buy it

i'd actually be happy that my kid would be eating actual did you know microwave's radiate food to heat it up and that once done your body no longer registers it as fuel also nearly every single fast food place has something unhealthy with mcdicks has lard filled icecream and frozen burgers that are healthier than their salad the kids are just addicted to eating junk

This is totally not a thing, especially when it’s healthy food. I can see a parent saying no sugar and having to abide by that, but not saying no to healthy food. Whenever I was somewhere other than with my parents for dinner, I ate whatever was prepared.

yeah that's bullshit. if you leave your child with someone you dont trust you're a truly shit parent. if you leave them with someone you do trust they will be fed. dictating what your kids will eat when you're not the one feeding them is ridiculous and nobody will want to watch your kids again.

um, I have two unspoiled children who I cook home cooked meals for on a daily basis and they don't want to eat it then they don't have to. my kids are picky it doesn't mean they're spoiled or brats and it certainly doesn't make us bad parents. my children don't starve, they're kids and they're not gonna grow up fat sluggish with eating problems. jesus.
