Today, my parents came back home from a one-week trip, during which I didn't let any friends over, so I could keep the house clean. Now my parents say they'll never leave me home alone again because the house is "too clean" and I must have thrown a party while they were gone. FML

For those who are wondering I didn't throw a party not only because my parents did not want me too, but because my friends are destructive when they drink and have you ever seen a party with out alcohol I also kept the hose clean so that hopefully they would trust me and I could throw a party in the future

Might as well throw a party next time if you're going to take the heat for it anyway!

you're 15... I think a party without alcohol is appropriate

Damned if you do, damned if you don't. After erasing the **** from your Internet history, bring it up as proof that you didn't do anything all week. Unless of course, that would leave no evidence anyways. No judgement here.

You'd have to be online constantly for that to prove anything. "See, mom and dad, 5:00 - Facebook, 5:01 - Twitter, 5:02 - Tumblr, 5:03 - Flickr, 5:04 -Whatevr, 5:05 - FMyLife, 5:06 - ADDsymptoms.com, etc."

Damn #12 is super efficient. I usually spend at least 7 minutes on Whatevr. And even longer on ADDsymptons.com /kitten videos.

Don't judge me for my Internet use! Only Chrome knows the truth...

If you spend more than a couple of minutes on ADDSymptoms.com, you probably don't have ADD.

I don't think there's going to be a next time.

Leave some dust on the floor next time.

Yeah, and lose their trust for nothing!

See, this is why you should have just thrown a party anyway. Parents always assume a party happened so you might as well enjoy yourself.

I was that lame weird nerd in school, and used to throw epic pity parties. Me: "Hey, Welshite, great party!" Me: "No problem, Welshite. Thanks for showing up." Me: "I had to show up. We both know I'm your only friend." *weeps*
Tripartita 45
You could've come to my high school pity parties. There were excellent conversations about the nuanced differences between the fruiting heads of sunflowers such as Bidens tripartitas, Bidens frondosus, Bidens cernuus, and Bi—hello? Welshite?

Maybe while on vacation, they happened to watch the movie Project X and were expecting you to burn down the house. You disappointed them.
arano 29
Well at least now you'll get to go on vacation.

I have gone on many before but this was the first time I was left alone for longer than 3 days
HrothgarXII 21
The only reason they would be suspicious is if you have sneakily had to clean the house before or had had parties there before

What fun is there without underage drinking? </sarcasm>
smallandroid 26
Seriously? You might want to find some less self-destructive friends. You can live without alcohol while you're still in high school.

Comment moderated for rule-breaking.
So everyone who replied "you're too young for alcohol" never had a drink EVER in high school? Let's not be a hypocrite right now.
juturnaamo 29
Having a drink in high school and needing to drink to have a good time when you're only 15 are different things.
lui_pg 21
#21 I'm 19 and I haven't had a drink, even though I've been offered many times, so apparently not everyone is as hypocrite as you
Dale_shackleford 13
A little experimentation is fine, but any 15 year old that requires alcohol to have a good time at a party has gone way off the deep end. Of course, I think anyone who remembers being a teenager will also remember saying dumb shit like that to look cool. Then again though, at my HS one girl smokes while she was pregnant, so I guess ****-uppery is more common than most would think.
nanner6206 24
i didnt drink until AFTER high school. Then I went Wild, and got into all kinds of trouble.

Apparently thinking ahead didn't get you too far.

yes it's called a flash mob dance dance revolution and movie and pizza sleep over!

Good luck telling them that. Parents can be real assholes.

my parents pulled the same shit on me, and I never did anything wrong in their house (elsewhere was a different story). but my brother, the favoured one, was left alone for days, he was the one to sneak girls in at night, steal dad's booze and get high in the house. I was the honest one, my parents never had any surprises with me unless it was coming straight from me. he was the pathological liar.
chuka81 27
Calm down 38. You sound like you really hate your brother.
kingdomgirl94 29
If you and your friends have a history of partying with alcohol at 15, I'm not surprised they don't trust you. And before someone calls me a hypocrite, I didn't drink until I was 19 (the legal age here) and even now in University the only time I drink is Halloween and New Years. If OP was 17, 18, yeah okay that's underage but a lot better than 15. My little brother is 15 and if I caught him drinking more than just a little to experiment, I'd kick his ass. You've got lots of time to drink. Get a game system, a **** ton of junk food, some good music and party it up without the alcohol.
nix1993 41
Even when I was 17/18 I never had 'parties' as such, but my parents always let me have all my friends over at least once while they were away, and there were about 15 of us all together. We'd generally watch films, order pizza and have a few drinks, and half the time they didn't even care if it was their booze we were drinking because we (mostly) didn't go nuts. What kind of 15 year olds can't go to a party without getting drunk and trashing the place? I wouldn't even be friends with those people.
DanielleinDC 34
It's one thing to have a drink under parental supervision (which I admit I did) and another to have a party with friends where everyone is underage and everyone is drinking. Yes, I've seen parties without alcohol. The fact that OP's friends can't envision one is indicative that 1) they're really immature and 2) it's a good thing he didn't throw the party.
psychocunt 20
Are you aware that people can be friends with older people?
ABlindMan 17
Yeah I didn't need alcohol when I was 15 to enjoy myself. I actually never drank in high school either. Granted I wasn't exactly a party person but nonetheless, there's absolutely zero reason why alcohol is necessary to "have a good time", especially at that young of an age.
ABlindMan 17
So 51, OP being 15, would've invited friends that are solely over 18?
Dr_Awesome654 24
Woah, that was quite a sentence
Zeenaboo 4
Holy shit, you sound like a responsible person. Congrats on the great choices.

How can a house be "too clean"?
