Today, my new prescription medicine for my chronic acne did in fact work. It worked by inflaming the skin around my zits so that they blended in. FML

Last call, bad decisions and 3 a.m. texts you'll regret until noon. Cheers.
Same thing different taste
Burning
Today, I realized that the tingly feeling on my face when I put a new combination of acne wash, acne medication, and my usual moisturizer on was not, in fact, "it working." It was slowly peeling away the top layer of skin. I look and feel sunburned. I also still have acne and oily skin. FML
Today, I discovered the effect the cream has that my mom gave me. It was for my acne and it worked, in a way. Instead of having a lot of little pimples, I now just have a few gigantic ones. FML
Definitely
Today, I discovered that of the three medicines I now have to take, all three of them have acne as a side effect. When acne is a side effect, I am 100% guaranteed to get it. FML
Today, I finally saw a dermatologist due to my unusually severe acne. Now I know I actually have a rare disorder that makes me allergic to my own acne. FML
Today, I looked at my face to see if my new age-defying lotion was working. My skin does look younger, it's covered in pimples like a teenager's. FML
Today, I'm now able to put my acne cream on my face without having to look in the mirror, because I've memorized the crater and trench-filled war zone that is my acne-riddled face. FML
Today, I realized that acne is a major side effect of a medication I'm taking. The medication is to help me with my anxiety. The acne is creating more anxiety. And the more anxious I get, the more meds I need. And the more my face breaks out. FML
Testing it out
Today, I asked my dermatologist why my acne has been getting worse, despite following her directions and spending hundreds of dollars on medicine. She just shrugged and told me they can't actually cure my acne. However, they can prescribe me a bunch of stuff and hope one works. FML
Today, I noticed that my acne has gotten so bad, I can see it out of my peripheral vision. FML
Nice spread
Today, I got a new skin cream for my acne. I tested it on a small patch of skin just to make sure I wasn't allergic. I was, and the reaction didn't stay on that small patch of skin. My left arm is now almost entirely covered in a horrible rash. FML

"And now no-one can tell when I'm blushing." The ad just writes itself.

It's kind of like the whole "Oh your hand hurts let me kick you in the shin so your hand won't hurt as bad" scenario.

Sounds to me like it's more noticeable. Now it looks like op has double the acne and a really red inflamed face.

Depends on whether you think it looks better or not, do you think it helped or "helped"?

I guess it did "help" if his/her goal was to look like a ripe tomato :P

Personally I love looking like a ripe tomato, but one day I hope to advance to a watermelon.

Do you mean the inside or the outside of a watermelon? ;)

hey maybe when the inflammation stops, the zits will disappear too! As long as it works, right? heh.

that was my first thought! Kind of like Buckley's- "tastes awful but it works."

Ya, as horrible as it is, op should give it about 2-4 weeks. Hopefully op will see some minor improvement after the first week. There are lots of products and meds out there that actually make the acne worse for the first bit before it starts to get better.

At least you'll be the best looking tomato in town :)

I reckon you'd still look pretty beautiful

The acne is now the least of your problems with your swollen face.

That reminds me of the time I broke my arm. It looked weird, so I broke my other arm to balance it all out.

At least they're gone I guess

Well at least now the acne isn't a problem.
