Today, my mom called me again to whine about what she heard about Trump on the news. I don't like him either and often agree with her, but she does this every 20 minutes so she can update with me. She's done this since he took office. FML
Collection
Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
All true, obviously
Today, I found out that my mother-in-law thinks that Trump is the "best man to walk the earth since Jesus," and that he's "fighting the deep state who's in control of the fake news." She tried to indoctrinate me. FML
Look what they did to my boy
Today, and since yesterday, I've received numerous tearful, and sometimes angry, phone calls from my mom. The calls were not about her health issues, my kids, or even my dad losing his job. No, she was angry-crying about the FBI raid at Trump's house. FML
Don't mention it
Today, my mother went on another long rant, detailing 20 years of bad things that we all already knew about a relative. The slightest recollection in a conversation never fails to turn into unending monologues. I can't change the past, nor the subject of conversation apparently. FML
Drama Llama
Today, I called my mother to say hi. She spent a whole hour and a half complaining about how I never call her, bawling and calling me "a waste of human flesh." I call her at least once a week. FML
Make it stop
Today, like every day for the past two years, my aged mother has sat complaining all day loudly about relatives who call too little or too much, about another package being a few days late, or her laptop and TV not working properly. All while I'm trying to quietly work from home. I'm about ready to jump off a bridge. FML
Good luck out there…
Today, my father said I only voted for Biden "because I watch the news." He's a hardcore Trumpster. FML
Imitation is a form of flattery. Or is it?
Today, and ever since he saw the infamous interview that was on TV the other day, every time I say something to my husband, he keeps quoting, "You can't do that!" and "You don't know that!" at me in Donald Trump's voice. FML
Technologically challenged
Today, my aged mother continued to complain about her computer issues to me. A relative, who is good at tech support, won't bother servicing her computer because whatever she does ends up bogging it down the next day, so I have to hear about it on the phone. FML
Time to move
Today, as every morning since I started working from home, my mother interrupts me with her complaints about family members and old history. I'm not qualified to be a family therapist, and I need this job to pay my bills. She doesn't take the hint with my headphones on, but heaven help me if I interrupt her TV show later. FML
Today, I walked in on my mom ranting on about what a useless bitch I am. She was talking to my cat. It's not the first time this has happened, either. FML

Tell her to change the channel... I’d recommend Cartoon Network

Your the one letting her do this. Maybe not answer the phone, or ask her to do less. It is your choice too.

Just be glad you still have your mother with you to talk to. Talking to you about Trump is important to her, just like she used to listen for hours to you talk about things that were important to you when you were younger. Do you really think she wanted to talk for hours on end about rocks and worms?

I don't believe it... Trump is actually bringing families closer together...

But not necessarily in a GOOD way....

Well - it is a full-time job to keep you updated on all Trump's stupidities. Maybe she could just make a note when he does something stupid, and fill you in once a day. Or just tell you about his bigger stupidities. That would reduce the phone calls to maybe one pr hour.

Maybe we’re gaining the purpose we lacked in 2016 that allowed the asshole to waltz into the office (or did he kazatzke?)

At least she's not calling you to tell you how great he is. Though then you could have her committed.
