Today, I was made fun of at work by my mom and my supervisor. I work at a kids' anti-bullying camp. FML
Today, we can finally order badly needed safety gear for my crew. My boss flipped his shit, demanding that I "stop bringing it up, it's annoying" for doing my damndest to keep up with industry standards. I was brought to tears for literally doing my job, with no "peers" to back me, since I'm an HR department of one. FML
Today, my boss tried to knock down a tower of empty boxes next to me while yelling, "Beat it, nerd!" A box hit my face and knocked my glasses off. I got bullied by my boss. FML
Today, my boss's ADHD son was suspended from school. It was a misunderstanding, but the school won't listen, so now my boss has to take him to work. She gets very short-tempered when he's around because, quite frankly, he's extremely annoying and disruptive, even for a kid with ADHD. It's gonna be a long week. FML
Today, my boss and I were preparing a lunch order for a nearby real-estate agency. I noticed that the order was riddled with spelling mistakes, so I laughed and mocked the realtors, calling them stupid and incompetent. My boss then pointed out that the order was written in his handwriting. FML
Today, my boss made me type up my own written warning, where I had to trash myself and describe my own "shocking incompetence". All the department heads are going to receive a copy of this. FML
Today, I had to get in contact with a crisis line because of how bad I am being bullied at work. Management won't get rid of the one responsible, as they are also part of Management. Several others have either quit or made complaints, as they are experiencing the same thing. Still nothing is getting done. FML
Today, my boss and I had to come up with a code to call if a person acts inappropriately towards me because I "attract too many weirdos." FML
Today, I got in trouble with my boss for doing what she wanted me to do. I guess she didn't think I would do it, so she did it herself. FML
Today, my boss reprimanded me for a huge screw-up that he was responsible for. FML

That reminds me of my dad's terrible slogan that he came up with in high school for a project. "employ the handicapped, they won't walk off of the job"

It's just a figure of speech, surely the students at your school will recognise that and not be offended? It's kinda like how people think you can't say 'see you later' to a blind person.

Missed the edit window, darn. I'm not saying it's a great slogan and it could probably do with being changed just because of the context it's being used in however I don't agree that it's a horrifically insensitive/offensive slogan.

Maybe it's not that bad for adults who have been living with their conditions for awhile. But these are children, and it's quite likely some of them are recently handicapped, so it might still sting.

Damn, I hope he changes it soon for something better! Although, I'm sure the kids got a good laugh about it. Most times I meet someone who has been in a wheelchair for a while they end up having a good sense of humor :)
