Today, my husband and I found the perfect house, in our price range and everything we wanted in a house. However, the street it's on is called "Arbour Butte Road". My husband refuses to buy it because he doesn't want it to sound like he lives "in a tree's ass." I'm married to an idiot. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Gullible's travels
Today, my husband is convinced that he inherited a house in Florida and wants us to move there. I cannot convince him that it's clearly an internet scam. FML
NIMBY
Today, my wife and I were house-hunting. The only house that looked remotely like what we hoped for had a neighbor who flies a huge American flag and owns a massive pickup. I think we'll keep looking. FML
Revenge strikes again
Today, we inherited a house from my grandma in a homeowners association. My husband told the HOA president he's looking forward to defying the rules and annoying the rich snobs on this street who made grandma miserable by complaining about the state of her house while she was dying. FUCK THEM. FML
Today, as a part of my job, I took a couple around to look at houses that are on sale. After driving them around and looking at tons of houses, the wife said, "Okay. I think we have enough decorating ideas." FML
Today, my family and I went Christmas tree shopping. My husband and I were walking around when I saw the perfect tree. Excited, we immediately bought it. When we got home and set it up, I realized it came with a present: termites. FML
Get out
Today, my abusive ex-husband thought it was a good idea to buy the house next door and start living there immediately. Looks like I gotta move. FML
Make plans, God laughs…
Today, we lost our dream house because the current owner heard us discussing our plans to landscape the massive back garden, and she decided she couldn’t sell to someone who planned to rip out all the flowerbeds she spent years cultivating. Why sell the house then, selfish cow? FML
Landscaping
Today, my husband discovered our neighbour's fence was over our property line by 6 feet and kicked up a fuss about moving the fence. It turns out my husband can’t measure for shit. The fence is actually inside the neighbour's property, and he insisted we move it. There is now no room to park my car. FML
Today, after a year of living with my boyfriend at our new place, he told me that he wants to sell our house and live in a trailer, so he can be closer to his mom. FML
Freakshow
Today, my landlord sent tree cutters to take down a tree in our front yard. I didn't realize their job included walking around the house and gratuitously staring at me through the window as I dressed. My boyfriend won't complain because he's afraid our rent will go up in retaliation. FML

I'd have bought it just SO I could fill out "Arbour Butte Road" every time I had to write an address.

I'm gonna go ahead and assume that her husband dislikes the house for another reason but went ahead with that silly excuse, possibly because he doesn't want to tell her that he really does not want to purchase a house with a fully-decorated nursery room quite yet.

still better than living at a town called intercourse in pensillvenia

"Pensillvenia" sounds like some sort of mythical medieval cure-all. Did you mean "Pennsylvania," by chance?

Or Blue Ball.

He could probably write the address as Arbour Butter and the mail will still reach you, although that sounds like some kind of kinky lube. Now that you know of your husband's aversions to asses, don't even bother to look at a house on a cul-de-sac. Even I can't believe we use that term.

I am pretty shocked that a person would use something so arbitrary as a street name to make a major life decision, especially when it only benefits him and his wife... People these days...

You would'nt like the neighbors anyway. There's usually a lot of squirrels and woodpeckers living in a tree's ass.

P#35 is absolutely right; the phonetic pronunciation is 'byoot' - look it up (and buy the house). It means an isolated hill or mountain, or a city in Montana (where 37,000 people have no problem living).

The good news about having a street name like that is that you can post photos at HousesInYogaPants.com and read comments about what perverts want to do to your butte.

I lived on a street named after airplane parts with my pet skunk. That would make me stinky cockpit.

Sounds like a stripper name to me But seriously the name of a street shouldn't stop your husband from wanting to buy a house fly
