Today, my garage was flooded. Everything was ruined. My garage also happens to be my study, in which my entire art coursework was drying. My exam is tomorrow and all I have to hand in is a pile of mushy paper. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I discovered my water bottle had leaked and spilled water all over my backpack, ruining my notebooks, soaking my schoolbooks, and destroying my midterm portfolio. FML
Today, my sculpture, which is very important for my art grade, fell from my desk and broke to pieces. My art teacher suggested I soak the parts in water to make it easier to stick them back together. They dissolved. FML
Hush!
Today, I went to my local library to study. As I settled in, I dropped my water bottle, causing a mini flood. Panicked, I tried to clean it up with paper towels, only to knock over a stack of books, creating a domino effect of chaos. The librarian gave me the dirtiest look. FML
Today, my teacher told me that she couldn't find my hand-written essay on the Renaissance, and that I have to re-do it all by tomorrow. I later saw my essay on her desk, covered in a massive coffee stain that made virtually everything unreadable. FML
Today, I found out that my ten-page paper, which has taken me two months to construct perfectly and is worth 30% of my grade, was on the wrong book. It’s due tomorrow. FML
Today, I went to my cousin's house. I left my bag on the couch as my aunt instructed, only for my cousin to take it and throw it into the swimming pool. My laptop, textbooks and notes were soaked. My exam is in a week, and my aunt won't punish her perfect little angel. FML
Damage control
Today, I overloaded the washing machine and it flooded the downstairs. The flooring will have to be scrapped and drywall replaced. It's 100% my fault. Did I mention this is not my house? FML
Waterfall
Today, I rushed home after my mom called saying our upstairs had flooded. Apparently, my little brother somehow broke the toilet while unsupervised and water overflowed everywhere. It even reached my closet, shoes, and books, and everything touching my floor in my room is now wet. FML
Today, I had the worst day of my life. I'd studied science for the whole damn night, only to realize the next morning that it's a math exam. FML
Today, I woke up to my living room covered in 8 cm of water. My $2k computer was on that floor. FML

Explain to your professor that your garage got flooded, they will most likely allow you to have more time.

hand it in and say "this is the culmination of commercialism. it represents the promises of Saturday morning cereal commercials, which have become soggy from sitting for too long"

She still can't get her original work back, and no matter how good it is the second time, I know personally I always remember the first time as better, even if it wasn't.

I agree, but in order to get her marks, it's her only choice.

Oh that sucks. Your teacher will probably let you drop the class with no penalty. Just take it next year.

C'mon. You have a full day -- make a papier mâché replica of Michelangelo's David with the mushy paper and cruise to an easy A. YWIA

Burn down your house, your teacher will believe you when you have a police report with you.

better yet, take photos of the house burning and turn those in. guaranteed A+.

ha but it's not a photography course

If the OP hands in a pile of soggy canvas and claims his house burned down, I'm pretty sure that'll raise more questions than it answers.

They were in a part of the house that survived but suffered massage water damage from the fire hoses being used to put out the fire.
