Today, my father came back from a business trip in Canada. He handed me an "I Love Canada" pen. He brought back an Xbox 360 for my younger brother. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, my dad called, saying he was in town and that he wanted to see me. I was excited, thinking he wanted to come see my new apartment. Turns out he just wanted to borrow my Xbox. FML
Today, I received a late Christmas present from my estranged father. I was really excited, having neither seen nor heard from him in nearly two years. It was a $200 gift card for a store that only exists in Canada. I don't live in Canada. Not even close. FML
Today, my dad came home from a trip to Arizona and brought back special hand-picked gifts for the whole family. When he got to me, he smiled, and pulled out a free lotion from the hotel at which he was staying. FML
Today, my brother found 100 bucks in his coat pocket. He was so happy he bought 2 new games for his x-box. He was borrowing my coat. FML
Happy Birthday
Today, my parents gave me my birthday present. Two weeks ago, I'd ordered an Xbox online. Three days ago, it came to my house, and my parents thought they could save money by putting wrapping paper on it, and giving it to me for my birthday. That's all they got me. FML
Elaborate
Today, my Canadian friend is staying a few days at my parents' house. I drove him from the airport, only to find my idiot dad had decked the spare room out with maple syrup bottles. He keeps saying "Eh" all the time and asked "What's he so upset aboot?" when my friend was offended. FML
Today, I invited my boss and his family over for dinner. As usual, I bought his kids Christmas' presents, nothing too fancy though. This year, he had one more that wasn't here last year. So I just pulled something from under the tree to hand him. He opened it on the spot. It was my son's PS3. FML
Today, my parents bought my 11-year-old brother a MacBook for my birthday. FML
Today, I found out my dad spent most of the $500 I earned from mowing lawns on an Xbox 360 for himself. He was the one who encouraged me to put the money in the bank for college and to learn responsibility. I'm 14 years old. He's 37. FML
Looking for another one!
Today, I finally got a Christmas gift, a calligraphy set, for my father that I have been looking for for a month. My dad came home happily with the same calligraphy set today, saying that he surprised himself for Christmas. He got it cheaper than me. FML

this happened to me about oh 30 yrs ago. My dad gets back from a tour of Germany, brings back my older sister a ton of stuff, brings back mom stuff. For me? well he forget and he told me so. I forgot to get some stuff for you, so here's the playing cards they had on the plane. Left home at 18 never went back.

and how old are you?? i mean, if you are 1 or 2 years older then your brother, that sounds unfair... put the damn thing in the microwave... that is, assuming that you do not like videogames (and pens)... if you do like them... stop your whining and take turns on the damn thing...

um, you totally got the good end of the deal here. much easier for you to mooch of your brother's gift than for him to steal the use of your pen. hide that baby and he's out of luck - whereas you will have a much easier time locating and making use of "his" xbox. Failing that, you could always break it. What's he gonna do - break your pen in retaliation? Again, you lucked out: pen = easily to conceal and replace. Xbox = trackable and expensive to repair. lucky bastard.

I had something like this happen to me. One Easter, my parents got me chocolate. My brother got chocolate...and a Wii.

Don't worry. You got the better of the deal as your pen will still be working a month from now. The Lord of the 3 Rings of Death will have failed by then.

I've had a 360 for two and a half years and I haven't even gotten a warning red ring (one that you fix by restarting) or a yellow ring. Don't play them excessively and your good.

Dont worry when my dad went to L.A. he got me a keychain and my 5 year old sister a wii.

My advice would be to jam the pen up your brother's ass and while he's at the hospital, you can play with his xbox.

I agree with #32, you should sodomize your brother. .
