What the hell did you do to her? Kids aren’t stupid, and they aren’t sub-human. Believe it or not, parents aren’t perfect, and they make stupid and real shitty mistakes all the time despite trying to do the best they can. Maybe try and evaluate how you speak to her, approach her about certain things, etc. and you might find that it can come off as really insulting. Children may not be fully developed, but it doesn’t mean they are stupid, and they know when they are being spoken down to or when their parents purposefully avoid them

If she’s a teenager, maybe kick her out (temporarily). She can start her plan now. If she’s a small child... they say things they don’t 100% mean or understand all the time. She’s probably angry about something, but just be the best parent you can and see how it plays out later. Good luck!

Yes exactly. If they are over 18, they could well mean it and you probably deserve it. Either because you're mean in some way, or because you have raised a child to be mean. Or maybe even both. If they're younger, you have time to make sure that this type of behaviour doesn't become a pattern, use the time well!

nobody's perfect and that includes parents. Parents are the ones most responsible for how their kids turn out, so chances are the kid had very good reason to say that. If the kid is still young, then OP has time to correct their own attitude and that of their kid.
