Today, my boyfriend told me he needed to reconsider coming to see me for financial reasons. I'm the one paying for the airfare, giving him a place to stay, and covering his expenses while he's here. FML

Today, my long-distance British boyfriend of 7 years canceled his plane ticket to visit me in the USA. He claims he "doesn't have enough money" to stay for 2 weeks. As I began canceling all the reservations, he called to say he bought a new car and a house. FML
Today, I spent 900 dollars on a ticket for my boyfriend to visit me and he missed the flight. FML
Today, my boyfriend gave me an ultimatum: either cancel my amazing work trip or stay with him. I chose the trip and he assured me he’d be gone by the time I got back. His issue? My boss thought it’d be cheaper to get an AirBnB instead of getting us all hotel rooms, and that men are also going. FML
Today, I told my boyfriend I wouldn't be able to get any time off work to go to Mexico with him, and that we'd have to get our tickets refunded, and reschedule. He said not to bother, and that he already had someone else in mind to take with him. FML
Today, my boyfriend used the "this isn't working, we need to talk" line on me. How nice of him to wait this long to do so, just days after we returned from the expensive Caribbean holiday that I paid for. FML
Today, my boyfriend wanted to take me to a movie after days of not seeing me. This long-awaited date involved me paying for food and my movie ticket when he ran out of cash again. He then dumped me as we left the theater walking to his car. Yes, I financed my own breakup date. FML
Today, my boyfriend and I are looking at places to stay to meet for the first time. I figured renting a small vacation apartment would be ideal because he's not able to help pay because he isn't working and I'm not rich. He's telling me he can only be comfortable in 4 star hotels. FML
Today, my boyfriend decided to visit me at work. With another girl. FML
Today, my boyfriend wanted me to sleep over at his house. Then he found out that it was that time of the month for me, so he told me that he had to work this weekend and said "see you sometime next week." He doesn't have a job. FML
Today, my boyfriend came home from a two week vacation and told me I needed to move out. FML

Tell him he needs better excuses [: Look on the bright side, MAYBE he feels bad for you, because you pay everything and wants a girl where he can be able to pay also. Or maybe he is just a gold digger. Good Luck though xD

This sounds so much like my ex, I wanna scream! You know what he is? He's a coward. If he doesn't want to put forth the effort to see you but doesn't have the guts to tell you he doesn't want to be with you anymore, so much to a point where he's making up excuses, just end it. You will be better off. Save your money on for things that aren't going to let you down. He's a lowlife who can't own up to his emotions, and is making you figure it out for yourself.

Ok theres a couple of things here. The economy sucks right now and I've been a victim as well. I was bartending for a while, friends wanted me to visit and I could stay for free and they would help with gas. However if I took a weekend off work it would set me back a couple hundred bucks, therefore I would worry about being short on rent, car payment etc. So its not always about him being lazy or a loser. Why don't you try visiting him?

Aww that sucks. I dated a guy just like that once, but he never complained about me paying for EVERYTHING. I laugh now because he's 27 and lives at home with his mother, and I'm 23, engaged to a wonderful man, and almost a doctor. Your b/f sucks like my ex. Maybe THOSE two can hook up??
