Today, my boss reprimanded me in front of the rest of the staff for "not following instructions" because I went to a company meeting. I have the email from him telling me to go to the meeting. He thinks I faked it. Unemployment sucks. FML

Today, my boss called me into his office. After yelling and firing me, his assistant comes in telling him he had mistaken me for someone else. He did not give me my job back, as he claimed it would make an awkward work environment. FML
Today, my boss gave me a lecture accompanied with a formal warning because I failed to take notes during a client meeting. I was never at this client meeting, in fact, I had a call with another client at the same time. Regardless, he insists I was there and refuses to listen to reason. FML
Today, I was fired for not attending a mandatory meeting. I confronted my boss and told her I never heard anything about it, she told me that daily reminders had been sent out via email for weeks. She then discovered that she failed to enter my email address in the system. I was still fired. FML
Today, my boss tried to fire me for not emailing him a screenshot to prove my email wasn't working. FML
Today, I went to deliver some reports to my boss in his office. He was facing away from me and ranting about his "useless employees", so I slipped in and waited for him to put the phone down. Turns out he was talking to himself. When he noticed me, he bitched me out and threatened to fire me. FML
Today, I got fired for following my work directions. I found out when I tried to badge into work, and paid $40 for a ride home. There also was an argument with my supervisors because I actually follow the directions correctly and knew what they meant. I'm temp to hire so there's no recourse for me. FML
Today, my boss suspended me for laughing too hard at my desk and causing a big scene in front of our customers. I was laughing because he'd forwarded me a hilarious email. He was practically smirking as he handed me my official warning. FML
Today, I walked into work, after having given my boss a weather prediction last week, so he could decide on which day to open a new company division. I was immediately taken aside and written up for "providing false information, adversely impacting morale". FML

Since you have that emailing proving your boss said to go to tht meeting and you got fired for doing your job also if people saw you there you can sue the company ass! What a horrible boss and karma will be a such a bitch to him when he least expects it!

FYL Op but it sounds to me like you have a wrongful termination suit. At very least you can get a severance from the incident as well as your unemployment. Even if they delete you email account they have to provide access to the system if your attorney files an order for it. The information can be recovered most likely. If not the company get in trouble for not following data retention laws.

My ex-boss fired me after I found out that he lived 1/2 a block away from me, saying I was late & had lost company money (which I wasn't late & didn't didn't lose money. A quick background check on him showed he lied about his residence (near me & not out of town), his age (32 instead of 28) & that he has 6 different aliases & that his caller ID (swag inc) actually belongs to a clothing company & NOT him....he also claimed to own 11% of the company he works for...unfortunately for me it was an "at will" job, so I haven't much recourse for a law suite for a months lost work.
