Today, my 5 month old son decided that my lip ring was a toy. Thinking it would be ok, I let him touch it. He got his finger caught and pulled his hand back. The lip ring is still in, but now I have a huge gaping hole in my face. FML

Today, I was adjusting my nose piercing from the inside. My mother saw and thought I was picking my nose, so she slapped my hand away, tearing my nose ring out in the process. FML
Today, I finally found the jewelry my two-year-old son had lost when it got lodged in my foot. FML
Today, I got my lip pierced. By the orthodontist. FML
Today, I woke up to a weird feeling on my face. Thinking it was a bug, I slapped at it. It was my freshly-inserted nose ring. FML
Today, I had a spur of the moment idea to go have my nose pierced. The piercer made sure to tell me how easily the little stud could get caught or hung up. I spent all day stressing over it only to scratch my nose and rip it out. Now I have a $40 bleeding hole in my nose. FML
Today, my nose ring became a fish hook. What did I catch? My dog's harness. She nearly ripped it out of my face. FML
Today, my 2 year-old had a large booger blocking his nose so I pulled it out. I was on the phone and absentmindedly rolling it around between my thumb and pointer finger. I put it in my mouth and crushed it between my teeth for a solid minute before I remembered what it was. FML
Today, while undergoing the cumbersome task of screwing the tiny silver ball onto my lip piercing, I clumsily dropped it onto the counter and watched it bounce into the trash can, where it nestled snugly into a used maxi pad. FML
Today, I was taking my earrings out and thought I had lost the back of one. Turns out my ear infection has caused the flesh of my ear to grow around and engulf the back of my earring and it is still stuck in there. FML
Today, I swallowed the piercing that I had bought for my tongue yesterday. FML

He does now obviously. Everyone has to learn at some point. He probably thought he wouldn't be able to get his finger in it, or that he wouldn't be able to pull that hard.

It's just common sense! Kids like to pull and touch stuff, why woud the op think that her lip ring would be safe? The baby is five months, not a newborn, so the op should know by now that a child that young will pull at anything that is shiny. So op, ydi

Mmmk dear before you begin calling people trailer trash that you have never met you may just want to learn to read a little bit...MONTH and YEAR are different words. Plus if a 5 year old kid ripped on someones lip ring knowing this site the comments prior to years all would have said smack the kid, and thinking that the kid is 5 years old and doing that and you not questioning THAT but the lip ring itself says nothing positive in regards to your logic and reasoning skills
