Today, my 15 year-old daughter got kicked out of her cheerleading squad because she was overweight. I heard one of the cheerleaders say, "She must be overweight because her mom is." FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Kids are assholes to each other
Today, I have discovered that my daughter is struggling with anorexia. When I sat down to talk with her about it, she said it’s because, "all the other kids at school keep calling her fat." She was underweight before, and has now gone to being severely underweight. FML
Today, I told my mom I wanted to try out for the track team. Her exact words were "good luck, fatty". FML
Hush
Today, I caught my mother telling my 11-year-old daughter that if she wants to be happy in life, she needs to start exercising now, because fat can creep up on you, and rich guys never marry fat girls with nice personalities. I was fuming. FML
Today, like every other day, my daughter thinks that degrading skinny people is very "non-conformist" and "edgy". This time, though, a slightly slim girl punched her in the face when she accused her of being anorexic. Now people think I gave my daughter her new black eye. FML
Generational trauma
Today, I discovered my 17 year-old daughter has an eating disorder. When I confronted her, she confessed that she’s doing it because she wants to stay thin, so that her boyfriend doesn’t dump her like her father dumped me for not being thin enough. FML
Keeping up appearances
Today, my seven-year-old told me to lose weight. Her reason? There's a family fun day coming up at her school and she is embarrassed. FML
Mean Girls
Today, I tried out for cheerleading. The judges, two head cheerleaders, sized me up, burst out laughing and made fat jokes towards me. I fought back and called them, "twiggy fucking sluts." At that moment, the coach walked in and saw and reported me to the principal. The judges got off scott free. FML
Classic Mom moment
Today, I went to my parents' house. I recently lost about 30 lbs. My mom hugged me and said, "Aww, you're not my chubby baby girl anymore." She then said she wished I were still fat because she missed it. She's the reason I lost the weight; she used to tease and taunt me. Thanks Mom. FML
Nice
Today, I was watching my 7 year-old daughter and her friend jump on our trampoline. I was really impressed by all the flips they were doing, and I told her, "Hey! I can't even do that." To that her friend replied, "Of course you can't. You're fat!" FML
No more treats
Today, I told my kids that our family dog was getting too fat and we should give him a little less food. My youngest daughter whispered to her sister, "Mommy's fat and we still give her food." FML

Many girls that age have a twisted perception of what is a "normal" weight range, and that was obviously a rude thing to say. However, some people get offended when other people point out things they are afraid to admit. To boost your and your daughter's self esteem I honestly think you should spend some quality time at the gym. This might be your wake up call.

Actually, both men and women of ALL ages have a twisted perception of what a "normal" weight range is. Most think it's somewhere between 250-300 lbs.

132 - Actually, most think the perfect weight is closer to 100-120 pounds, and strive so hard to get there that they gain weight due to their depression, triggered by the fact they can never attain this weight. Idealism doesn't equal reality as we all know; just because many people are now overweight doesn't mean they think being overweight is ideal. Every overweight person I've talked to has complained that they're not a size-ridiculously-small and most of them are depressed about that fact because there's nothing they can do.

You seem to be more upset that the cheerleading team made fun of you than you are that they made fun of your daughter. You're not the one who was kicked off the team, so what are you complaining about? You seem extremely self-centered and lacking in compassion.

well honestly, your habits that have caused you to be overweight have been picked up by your daughter. do both you and her a favor and go exercise more and start eating healthier it will do wonders for both of you. If you don't well then keep being fatasses it doesn't affect me.

the cheerleaders are a bunch of nit-picking bitches. As for you, how selfish of you to make this into an FYL, your child is the one who needs support. So a bunch of immature teenage ***** called you fat, stop your bitching.
