Today, I hit the six-year mark for daily vomiting. All the doctor can say is that it's psychological. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Thanks
Today, after months of random vomiting with no apparent cause, I finally got some tests done. The doctor says there's nothing wrong with me and that it's all just in my head. Great. FML
Freaked out
Today, just like every morning, I had to make myself throw up all the acid in my stomach just to make room for a little bit of food. No doctor can fix my problem, and my family still thinks I’m doing it to lose weight. FML
Today, I took my first holiday from work in over 6 months as it was my birthday. Today was also the day I woke up and vomited violently for 10 straight hours as a result of food poisoning. FML
Chubbyemu vibes
Today, it's been three months since I had a GI virus. In this time, all the tests I've done so far came out negative at the doctor's. I've changed my diet, haven't drank alcohol, nor was I a habitual drinker. The bouts of nausea and vomiting keep coming back on random days. I cannot get the right amount of nutrients. FML
Hang in there
Today, I continue to suffer from chronic vertigo, which affects my daily life, including but not limited to dizziness, not being able to drive some days, nausea and vomiting, not able to hold my children without falling, and this morning I fell to the floor temporarily blind because of it. Eighteen years of this. FML
Alexa, play "Five Years" by David Bowie
Today, I saw a psychiatrist for the first time. After telling her everything I'm going through, she looked at me and said "You know… every five years or so I get a case completely beyond my ability to help." I guess it's been five years. FML
Mystery
Today, I had an endoscopy and nothing wrong was found. So why have I been vomiting up everything, including water, for the past 10 days? FML
Misunderstood
Today, after four years of anorexia and lots of recovery, my parents took me out to dinner with my counselor and whole family to celebrate my progress. I ended up eating something that made me vomit everything I ate. My parents now think I am bulmic and are sending me back to counseling. FML
Record breaking
Today, I've managed to go my whole nine-year teaching career without anyone vomiting in my classroom. That record was broken today when someone vomited four successive times in front of a class of 46 students. It was me. FML
Infectious
Today, it's day four of liquid ass and violent hurling after I hosted a birthday party for my daughter, and one of the kids brought a stomach virus rather than a present. Yesterday my daughter started with the violent vomiting too. Everything smells like vomit in my home. Yay me! FML

I imagine you have great abs though, so there's that at least.

was there ever any question that it was psychological considering it being daily?

Definitely get a second opinion. My mother used to vomit daily when I was very young, and it turns out she had horrible acid reflux. Your doctor sounds like a quack!

My ex had a heart condition that made it randomly beat really fast and she'd vomit, maybe that ?

Keep seeing new doctors until you get a better answer. Meanwhile try cutting different things out of your diet. I would start with wheat or dairy.

Get a second opinion, or several if you have to.

I know two people who have had the same issue. For them it was both caused by severe anxiety. Their bodies get stuck in fight or flight mode. Do you also sweat a lot, specifically the hands? And find it happens when you're especially anxious over something? There is a great psychological test GPs can give you to test your level of anxiety to see if you're above average. But even if this is the cause the doctor shouldn't just tell you it's all in your head. They should refer you to a psychologist to learn methods to overcome it. One friend found morning exercise changed everything. And of course there's always the chance it's one of the other suggestions people have made here that are more physiological not psychological. Good luck either way!
