Today, like every other day, my daughter thinks that degrading skinny people is very "non-conformist" and "edgy". This time, though, a slightly slim girl punched her in the face when she accused her of being anorexic. Now people think I gave my daughter her new black eye. FML

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, I have discovered that my daughter is struggling with anorexia. When I sat down to talk with her about it, she said it’s because, "all the other kids at school keep calling her fat." She was underweight before, and has now gone to being severely underweight. FML
Today, I discovered my 17 year-old daughter has an eating disorder. When I confronted her, she confessed that she’s doing it because she wants to stay thin, so that her boyfriend doesn’t dump her like her father dumped me for not being thin enough. FML
Today, my daughter turned Emo. FML
Today, my 4-year-old daughter asked me when I was going to be skinny like her daycare lady. FML
Today, I tried to nicely talk to my daughter about her rapid weight gain. Having a family history of weight-related illness, I felt it was necessary. I offered to get thyroid tests, teach her to buy healthy food, and start routine exercise. She told everyone I called her a cow and had fat-shamed her. FML
Today, my daughter admitted that she doesn’t have any friends at her elementary school. When I asked her why, she said it was because whenever she talks to any of the other kids, she gets punched in the face. FML
Today, my 15 year-old daughter got kicked out of her cheerleading squad because she was overweight. I heard one of the cheerleaders say, "She must be overweight because her mom is." FML
Today, my daughter expressed wanting to lose weight so I took her to a licensed dietician nutritionist to get her a healthy eating plan, and even made her an appointment with a personal trainer to get her on track. I walked in on her eating a whole box of laxatives, because "this way is faster." FML
Today, I heard my wife and daughter arguing. My wife took away my daughter's phone and laptop for being disrespectful. My daughter screamed, calling her mom a fat cow. My wife simply said, "Yeah, well you’re gonna look exactly like me when you grow up!" Now they’re both locked in rooms, crying. FML
Today, I was at a restaurant when I heard a young girl telling her father she didn't think she was pretty. When I got up to leave, I walked past her table and told her she was beautiful. Her dad then punched me in the face. FML

Your daughter is a bully. Sit down and have a stern talk with her. She needs to learn some respect. Sorry that she got a black eye, but she deserved it for being like that.

Putting down skinny girls is the same as putting down thicker girls, honestly. They can feel insecure about their weight too. Your daughter was a bitch to point that out. She deserves it, but you don't. FYL, OP.

You obviously didn't do a very good job raising her. I wouldn't have tolerated that behavior with my daughter for a second. I always teach my kids humility and understanding so as far as I'm concerned YDI

Honestly if she was doing that then she deserved it. I mean that's not really nice to say but if she was making people she doesn't know feel like crap about themselves then you had to have known that something like this would have happened. However, while it may suck what people think, you either have to tell them or let them think what they will, there's really know way around it.

Ppl talk about me too saying I'm "too skinny" or that I need to eat more than the amount if food I get. I feel my weight is normal but when ppl tell me otherwise, I wanna punch them in the face too! Your daughter had it coming! Maybe she'll learn her lesson and quit being a bully now...OP she deserved it BIG TIME!!!

Since when is anyone "too skinny?" Normally all you hear about is people being too fat, and they're the ones being picked on. Regardless, doing this is not okay at all regardless of one's size. Your daughter makes all heavier people look bad...and I agree with the comments saying that she's a bully. And if you knew she was doing this all this time, why didn't you do anything about it?

Yeah, no. In high school, I was a natural 98lbs and I got made fun of all the time for it, and accused of being anorexic. I've gained 30lbs in adulthood but people still use diminutive words to describe my stature in order to make them feel better about themselves. I've been told several times that 130lbs for a women is disgustingly skinny and I should have curves like a real woman.
