Today, it was my wedding day. Midway through the ceremony, my visibly drunk uncle stood up and denounced the minister for "preaching yer god shite where it weren't never be welcome". FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
The show must go on!
Today, during my wedding ceremony, the groom-to-be found it appropriate to blurt out about an ongoing affair with my maid of honor. They got married instead. FML
Very romantic
Today, I went to my (now ex) boyfriend’s step-uncle’s wedding. He got absolutely wasted and kept talking about marrying me in front of his mom and step-dad, but was listing off who he would and wouldn’t invite, all in front of the people he wouldn’t invite. FML
Today, it was my wedding day. Midway through the ceremony, my grandma, who's tried to ruin every relationship to date, stood up and shouted that "it ain't right", "you're too good for her", and claimed my fiancée has been cheating on me, before she was finally ejected from the building. FML
Ceremony from hell
Today, at my wedding, the minister forgot to skip the "Does anyone object?" part. My mother stood up and gave a lengthy reason, which caused my future in-laws to start shouting. It turned into a small riot, and no, we're not married now. FML
Today, I married the love of my life. I was ecstatic until the wedding reception, where my new husband got drunk and started crying about how he'd been "forced" into marrying me. FML
Bridezilla
Today, it was supposed to be my wedding but my fiancé insisted we be married by his childhood priest, a real bible thumper. This arsehole tried to change our vows at the altar and told me wives should know their place, so I slapped him and the wedding is delayed until we get a new priest. FML
Free speech
Today, my dad thought it would be appropriate to get drunk at my wedding and include in his father of the bride speech all the very bad things I did as a child, before I got the psychiatric help I needed. My in-laws were giving me death glares, and his nana yelled, “Shame on you!” at me. FML
Today, I went to my fiance's cousin's wedding with him. I got drunk and danced like a stripper in front of his entire extended family, who I'd just met that day. FML
Unbelievable
Today, at my wedding reception, I jokingly asked my aunt, who has always been convinced that I am gay despite my protests, if she believed me now. She took this the wrong way and drunkenly went around telling my guests that my wedding was a sham to convince her I was straight. FML
Today, I belched. In the middle of my wedding vows. FML

Seems to me that if you're posting an FML on your wedding day you have a lot bigger problems than your drunken uncle..... JMHO

Hah, that's embarrassing. I probably would have laughed a little though.

loserman67, it probably happened later on in the day or maybe it happened some time ago. I mean, it is manditory to put "today" on every FML.

You beat me to it. Actually there might be a lot of "beating" in the upcoming marriage if you can't even get some on your wedding day!

Does it not occur to either of you that although the FML says 'today' it was probably written days ago and likely days after the event.

Don't feed the trolls. It's tempting, but don't.

All FMLs need to have "Today," written at the start of them. So this probably didn't really happen "today", but the OP needed to write that it did.

Double negative! Your uncle must love his preaching.

Someday you're gonna look back on this and have a good laugh. But today is not that day.

Sounds more Irish than British...

nah, Irish people don't speak like that, it sounds a lot like someone from up north or our version of a hick. Doesn't say where the uncle comes from anyhow.

At least the guests got a good show. I know I would have laughed the hardest at the crazy, drunk Uncle. He sounded like a leprechaun.

Gotta love alcohol. Atleast it wasn't your husband.
