Today, I was walking to class. While waiting at the crosswalk, a guy cat-called me from his car. I guess he was pissed that I didn't respond, because he purposely drove through a puddle and completely soaked me and the expensive textbook I was holding. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I was walking home through the slush and snow when a car drove by, soaking me with dirty water. Frustrated, I flipped him off. He then turned around and splashed me again. FML
Classic prank
Today, as I was walking home, a car drove through a puddle and splashed me like in a cheesy movie. As if that wasn't annoying enough, the driver had to pull over because she was laughing too hard. FML
Today, while I was walking to class, I was hit by a car. The driver stopped to let me cross in front of her, started moving again, hit me, and then yelled at me, saying it was my fault for walking in front of her. FML
Completely soaking
Today, I was walking to work when it was starting to pour down sideways. I was pretty early anyway, so, I decided to duck into a bus shelter and let it pass. Suddenly, a big truck comes and drenched me with the biggest puddle. Soaking from head to toe. FML
Thanks!
Today, my car is being repaired, so I had to catch a bus to work. When the bus came, the driver pulled toward the curb and gunned it through a large puddle of water, then pulled away and continued down the road, leaving me soaking wet. FML
Wet leg
Today, as I was walking to wash my hands after using the restroom, the guy walking away from the sink flicked water from his hands towards the floor. Water splashed all over my beige shorts. I had to walk back into class looking like I'd peed my pants. FML
Make yourself at home
Today, while waiting at the bus stop, the guy standing near me started peeing on the sidewalk and on my shoes. FML
Stop staring
Today, I accidentally spilled water on my pants, and my crotch got soaked. To make things worse, I was in class at the time, and I had to walk home afterward. On top of that, I had to pass through a mall, and there were so many people staring at me the whole way. FML
Today, while I was waiting at a red light, a drunk guy limped in front of my car, unzipped, and started pissing on my windshield. FML
Such a rush
Today, I woke up late and rushed to catch the bus. I sprinted heroically, slipped on wet pavement, and skidded directly into a puddle deep enough to baptize me. The driver waited just long enough to make eye contact before closing the doors and leaving. FML

Hey guys, how many times have you cat-called a woman and she came running to you? Hint, stop doing it. It doesn't work.

Are you kidding me? I would've thrown a rock at his window!

Honestly, people can be so terrible sometimes.

Or a Molotov cocktail, GTA-style. If only you could generate random objects out of thin air...
mariri9206 32
for the molotov cocktail, only if you say "hey, assbutt!" first.
NickACD 27
If you meant for the cat-call I say you ******* bitch. If you meant for the driving through a puddle then I agree.

One rock is not enough
vikky538 29
I would suggest a big size rock
PhinIt2WinIt 24
not the driver's rock. it would be too small
jen1097 25
I would have thrown the now ruined textbook through his back window..
turtle_darkness 17
Should of thrown some meow mix at him and called him a pussy.
MikaykayUnicorn 36
Who just carries that around with them, though? And it's should have, for future reference.

Oh wait, I thought you meant "who carries a text book with them"
psychopolarbear 28
I dunno, guys. Driving through that puddle obviously made her wet. He might be on to something here...

How're you supposed to respond to that? And how'd all that happen so suddenly? So many questions..so little time

#6, It doesn't work for you? everytime I cat call a girl, she comes running. Sure, she tends to punch me or kick me in the jewels, but, its, you know, sibling rivalry.

You know times are grim when a tin cup is giving advice..

So what are you suggesting, something crazy like conversation?
thisguy22 33
Actually I heard a story on the radio a few days past, they were telling the most unbelievable stories and the caller had to guess which was true. The true one turned out to be a garbage man catcalling a woman, she was disgusted and stalked away. They wound up meeting again at a party and now they're married. You never know...
Mpii 11
I dont think alot of men do that. I think it's just a fee douchebags that do it but they do it very often.
cprad11 12
And all this time I'd been mislead to think otherwise.
DoomedGemini 38
Please don't encourage this 34, even jokingly. I'm guessing those who catcall aren't smart enough to tell the difference between joking and serious.
CreatingReality 15
Idk, if they're still doing it that must mean that some women are swayed by cat-calling. So i guess they'll just keep doing it hoping to encounter that 1 out of a 1000 woman.

How the **** is cat-calling harmful? I wouldn't expect to start a conversation, but it just lets them know they're attractive. Also, freedom of speech.
tomvertigo 17
You don't date much, do you #83? Cat-calls are sleazy. If you find a girl attractive simply let her know she looks nice, not yell "Nice gams, momma. How bout I teach you how to divide them two with my one?"
CaitiieBuggs 23
Oh no, 83, just no. I don't know about other women, but being yelled at by sleazy looking guys doesn't make me feel attractive, but threatened and scared. Being told "you have nice lips, I bet they'd look better around my dick" is not flattery, it's insulting (especially at 14 years old by a grown male in his mid to late 20s). These are just some examples of what is wrong with cat-calling.
DoomedGemini 38
And now we see why it's still a thing. The people who do it show they really don't give a shit about the person and how it makes them feel or even try to say how it should make another person feel.
HonestPie 10
You seem to imply that a man's instinct is to shout at women shit. Feminism strikes again.
HonestPie 10
My comment got moderated. Nice. I wasn't even insulting anyone. I feel like grown adults should be able to handle different opinions better, but apparently not.
ShaynaMarie322 15
Is there even an appropriate way to respond to a cat call?
jay_south 19

typically a polite wave and a forced smile, then turn around and have the most disgusted look ever.although some people thinks it's appropriate to yell "down withe patriarchy" and start hurling rocks, stalking, and spray painting there shit. these are also known as assholes.
igive 29
^The butt hurt is strong with this one.
TheNewGuy03 29
You have to meow. That is the only acceptable response to a catcall.
tomvertigo 17
Do it back, mace him and walk away.

I've been through worse on many occasions. people need to to stop taking things so harshly and be mature about such situations. acts like that aren't necessary, but show you their true colors. at least now you know the person wasn't worth any of your time.
Dynosaur_dollie 38
The moment they started to cat call a total stranger OP should have known they weren't worth the time. It was some stranger not someone they were actually interested in.
LalapaloozaChick 14
yes, I agree #28, but not all woman think that way. ive seen way too many who enjoy it and actually think something great will come of it and it never does.
MzZombicidal 36
/beginrant There's nothing wrong with a woman enjoying being given attention. The wrong in this is the man whose ego is SO sensitive that he has to ******* spray her with water for not even speaking to him. The issue is people who feel entitled to your time and attention. Don't turn this around to it being "not a big deal," because it is. It's a big deal that OP couldn't even STAND there without some man not only trying to hit on her but splashing her with water, effectively ruining an expensive book, (probably) her outfit and her day, all because she didn't reciprocate. And for the record, don't use "I've been through worse" as a basis for your argument. That doesn't take away from what happened to OP and it doesn't add anything to what happened to you. /endrant

That level of entitlement is insane.
EarlFug 19
If a gentleman expresses his admiration for you, it is only polite to convey your appreciation by flashing your ****. If wearing a skirt, alternate thanks are acceptable. Sincerely, 1967
