Today, I was walking home from when I passed an old woman sitting on the curb of Walmart begging for change. I gave her my last dollar and felt good about it. Five minutes later I saw the same woman driving away in a car. I don't even own a car. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I was driving back home after hanging out with some friends. I drove pass a woman standing next to a broken down car. I felt bad, so went back and offered her a ride home. Turns out it wasn't her car and she was a hooker. FML
Today, I saw a homeless man on the corner, I thought I would be generous and give him some cash. I rolled down my window and waved my hand for him to come over. As he was walking over, he was struck by another car. FML
Checked out
Today, an elderly woman couldn't afford all of her groceries at the checkout so she started to take out a few things. I offered to pay for her groceries; she thanked me and walked out. An onlooker then came up to me and told me that she does it to someone every week. FML
Carry her home
Today, I helped an elderly woman push her grocery cart around the store, and look for her vehicle after she'd paid. After we spent ages wandering around trying to find her car, she remembered that she'd taken the bus today. FML
Today, I saw an elderly woman in need of help of crossing a street. I helped her across. On the way she just about fell and held onto me to keep from hitting the ground. After she left on her bus I reached for my wallet. It was gone. I had just been robbed by a 70 year old. FML
No good deed…
Today, I was sitting on the bus to the gym. I saw that an old woman needed help to get off the bus, so I got up, and helped her off. When I had finally got her down the stairs the bus closed the doors and drove away. I was in the middle of nowhere and the bus drove away with all my things. FML
Today, I gave a homeless man my last bit of spare change so he could get on the bus. Just as I was about to get on too, I realized I'd lost my bus card. I had to get off the bus and watch as the man waved at me through the window. FML
Today, on my way to work, I noticed a woman on the side of the road waving for help, her car appearing to be broken down. I pulled over, stepped out of my car, went over to her car, lifted the hood, and checked it. When I looked up to tell her what was wrong, she and my car were gone. FML
Crossed purposes
Today, while I was walking home, a homeless man saw me and didn't ask for change, but how much I charged. FML
Smooth criminal
Today, I was walking down the street, when a little old lady bumped into me and fell over. I helped her up and she thanked me for being "such a nice young man". It was only an hour later as I was in line at the store that I realized she'd pickpocketed my wallet. FML

you deserved that shit. you need to watch for signs that the woman isn't homeless. and doesn't everyone agree that people should learn to ******* proofread their FMLs?

Some people make a living out of begging. I read somewhere that there was a millionaire's mother doing the same thing. Maybe that was her?

.. she probably lives in her car. Don't judge her by thinking she's being dishonest. Sure, that may be the case, but you'd feel like a jerk if you realized that all she has is that car that she's probably driving illegally because it isn't insured or what not. And you have a home, and food on the table, and money in your pocket. So just because she has a car doesn't mean she's well off or anything. People need to eat.. But if she uses that money for drugs or whatever, or if she just likes scamming people for money, then shame on her.

I would just buy them food. not give them money. but if you think about it maybe she was an "entertainer" and found someone looking for a good time. ;)

its not uncommon around here for homeless to have over a grand in pocket they are smart and get what they can when its nice out so they can hide inside when winter comes

Walking home from what?.... I got lost in the first sentence. Also, that does suck, I give money to people sometimes because I feel that while they might be faking it, if they aren't at least I helped when I could.
