Today, I thought I'd lost the ring that my boyfriend had given me, in the snow, in the dark. I spent a half hour with a flashlight searching every part of my driveway. The ring was on my kitchen windowsill the whole time. I took it off earlier to do dishes. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Where is it??
Today, I noticed I'd lost my wedding ring after returning home from a long, tiring day of painting our newly purchased home. After driving back and forth to the house for more than an hour to go looking for it, I found it tucked away in my back pocket. FML
Panic on the streets of Sydney
Today, I thought the ring my boyfriend bought for me had fallen off while emptying the trash into the bin. After panicking and emptying a week's worth of rubbish onto the ground, I found my ring safe and sound. On my other hand. FML
Today, after days of looking for it, I finally found the ring my boyfriend gave to me. It was on my roommate's finger. FML
Lost
Today, I’ve been the proud owner of an engagement ring for about 7 hours, and I’ve just spent the last 4 of them desperately searching for the damn thing, as I’ve lost it already. I daren’t tell my partner, since he was so sure I’d lose it, he'd told me to put it in our safe, and I stubbornly refused. FML
Today, I went to a jeweler's to buy a ring to propose to my girlfriend. When I was at the restaurant, in mid-proposal, with people watching, I realized I had left the ring in the store. FML
Thaw it goes
Today, I accidentally dropped my engagement ring down a sewer. To my surprise, the sewer water was frozen and my ring sat on top. During my efforts to retrieve it, I had to watch as the ice slowly melted due to the warm day. The ring sank further and further until it was completely gone. FML
My precious
Today, I found my wife crying. She said she’d lost her diamond ring. I backtracked her activities and suggested where to look. She found it in the fridge. She now thinks I hid it there. FML
Sketchy move
Today, I went to see a hockey game. The announcer asked if anybody found a ring in the stands, because a girl lost hers. While he talked about it, I realised that I forgot mine in my pocket, so I took MY ring and put it on my finger. A guy saw me and thought I stole the lost one. FML
Where is it?
Today, I lost the beautiful necklace my boyfriend gave me for Valentine's day. I looked everywhere, and couldn't find it. My sister held the bag while I dug through the stinking trash, then after I cleaned everything up, took it out of her pocket and said she was pretending it was lost. FML
Brain freeze
Today, I spent 10 minutes searching for my phone while on a call. Turns out, I had absentmindedly put it in the freezer while grabbing a snack. It was frozen solid, but at least I found it. FML

All's well that ends well, right?

Well the good thing is that you were originally careful with it, and thanks to that, you still have it! :D

I once lost car keys in the same way, and found the best solution would was to wait for the snow to melt, of get some salt to speed up the process, and then search the ground for it later. It could spare you a pair of frozen hands and a lot of unnecessary stress.

If you lost your keys, you wouldn't attempt to look for them immediately? I'd be paranoid that someone else would find them in my driveway and either steal my car or have access to my house since my car and house keys are on the same keychain. I'd do the same if I thought I lost my ring there too. Who knows if a random person would find it before I got the chance to search for it?

Also, they might get rusty if you leave them too long..

Well, that turned out alright. It could've been worse... lost in the snow... in the dark...

At least you didn't lose it on your finger :) that's something I would do.

It takes quite a bit of skill to do that.

Not only is that an old and worn out saying, but it reinforces very negative stereotypes so do everyone a favor and stop saying it (or writing it if you want to be exact). Thanks

Haha! It's funny because misogyny. Hilarious! I realise that was supposed to be a joke, but jokes are meant to be funny, and that one isn't. I'd strongly recommend taking it out of your repertoire.
