Today, I found out that my best friend was having a birthday party and I wasn't invited. I had just finished planning a surprise party for her. FML

Today, I'd planned a surprise party for my best friend's birthday. However, she apparently found out about it and told me at the last minute she couldn't make it, probably to avoid being the center of attention. I'd already invited all of our mutual friends, so I had to awkwardly cancel the party. FML
Today, I found out my best friend had 3 birthday parties for herself over the weekend. I wasn't invited to any of them. When I asked her why, she said I "didn't fit in" to any of the groups that were at the parties. All my other friends were invited. FML
Today, it was my co-worker's birthday but she told me not to mention it. Feeling bad for her, I went out to buy her a card, a present, and even a small cake. It turns out that there was actually a party during our lunch break, and I was the only one in our office not invited. FML
Today, a close friend told me she had no plans for her birthday. I found out she was lying when I had to serve her and nine other mutual friends dinner at the restaurant I work at. I don't know what's worse, the fact that I wasn't invited or that none of them even remembered that I worked there. FML

Today, my friends decided to throw a going away party because I'm moving. It would have been great if I had actually been invited. FML

Find out if your friend made a mistake. If not, refund it or sell it. If it has no money value than destroy it and put it in the box, then give it to him.

There's a million possible reasons why you weren't invited. Wait before you do anything rash. Feel out the person and decide if you want to ask about the party, or see if they bring it up. From there, figure out if you want to keep it, return it, or give it anyway. Don't do anything you'll regret.

There's a standard 2 weeks or 30 days refund policy on most items so you can have your money back, at least. Spend it on yourself and say goodbye to someone you don't need. I'm sorry op. That sucks.
