Today, I signed into my online class, got bored, and took off my headphones to argue with my roommates about anal sex. At the end of the argument, I put my headphones back on to hear my professor asking if someone could call me to tell me to turn my damn mic off. FML

What kind of argument is that?! Did you just randomly decide to argue about anal sex, and not think "I should be learning and maybe these people can hear me"? I hope you're not paying for these online classes if this is how well you listen to them.

Lol guys! This is my post and the anal sex argument was on and off all day. My laptop did an automatic audio test without my permission haha the whole class laughed about it today, all good.

I never said she in not allowed to ever get bored, but you have to admit that leaving the lesson just because she got bored is a bit childish, isn't it? And nor did I say education permits absolutely no fun at all, but you can't use that as reason to just check out because, well, that's just life. And as for #68, yes I am. I enjoy school. Just because I recognize that OP should not have left their class simply because "they were bored" doesn't mean I don't have fun. If you were bored in an actual classroom, would you just walk out? No( you might just doze and day dream a little, that's what everyone does), but the same applies here.

Taking out her headphones to talk to her roommate is the equivalent to talking to your friend in class. For all we know, perhaps OP is usually an active member in her class, but this particular lecture bored her.

The biggest point of an online class instead of going in to a class room is to be able to study in your own time....... That's the whole point! If she's momentarily disinterested, she can stop. I bet you're a riot at parties
