Today, I shaved my head because I heard that one of my good friends got cancer. I went to visit her in the hospital. She's not bald. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I completely shaved my head as a gesture for my boyfriend's mother, who was suffering from cancer and having a terrible time undergoing chemotherapy. Turns out she doesn't even have cancer, and my boyfriend thought I wouldn't have the guts to do it. FML
New look
Today, it's the 3-month anniversary marking the day two friends and I shaved our heads as a show of solidarity for a friend starting chemo. Her prognosis is good and her hair only thinned slightly. We, on the other hand, look like a motley crew of lesbian biker chicks. FML
Today, I slipped and gashed my head bad enough that my head had to be shaved to be sewn up. Right after it had finished growing back from chemotherapy. FML
Dumbass
Today, my daughter shaved her head in solidarity for a friend who went bald from cancer. Normally this would be an amazing gesture. Unfortunately, her “friend” is a fictional character from a book she’s reading. My daughter had almost 24-inch long hair. FML
Today, I had an elderly woman come up to me and tell me how well I pull off the look of being bald. She said that most women can't look attractive without hair. Then she asked me if I had cancer. I had to explain to her that I am, in fact, a man, and I shave my head because I'm a swimmer. FML
BFF
Today, I brought my best friend to my uncle's birthday party. We were having a great time until my grandmother walked up to us and said to me, "You sure have a nice looking boyfriend." My friend is a girl. She has cancer and lost all of her hair due to chemotherapy. FML
Buzzed
Today, after I watched my girlfriend get her head shaved in preparation for chemo a few days ago, I took the clippers and buzzed my long, well kept hair, gave her a loving hug, reminding her that, "We're at this together." She later broke up with me because I, pretty much, "look like shit." FML
Today, when I went out to get some groceries with my mother, a small girl came up to me and said I was an "ugly egg" because I'm a bald girl. I had to shave my head in order to have brain surgery to relieve me of the symptoms of my neurological disorder. FML
Today, I let a friend cut my hair. I soon went from having a 'fro to looking like I lost a fight with a lawn mower. FML
Today, I went to school with a bad haircut. I got about 50 cancer jokes so far. FML

you were at least being supportive, but you didn't know that it takes a bunch of radiation treatments before you lose your hair?

Ydi idiot. And more like f your friends life. Nobody cares about your bald head in comparison to someone having cancer.

You should wear a wig, but it was nice you were being supportive of your friend!

I am saying this sincerely. you did explain to her or him that you were only trieing to be supportive. I hope they dint get the wrong impression. if you didn't you need to do so. your friend is going through an extremely emotional time.

well, just tell everyone that you wanted to audition for v for vendetta, but since you didn't make the cut, you decided to shave anyway just to make yourself feel better. |the kid|

Wtf ... did you think her hair would fall off immediately just because she got cancer? Cancer patients lose their hair because of the treatment. And if she had already gotten this treatment (I doubt it, if she just got cancer), you can't just assume that she's already lost all her hair. (You can, but you shouldn't shave you head without knowing it for sure...) I'm not saying this to be rude, I'm saying it because it's true. Fail. YDI.
