Today, I set a trap to catch a mouse that ran across my foot. Not only did the trap shut on my finger twice, but I watched the mouse run over the trap without it snapping shut. I guess I have a new roommate. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Spooky
Today, I set up a mouse trap to kill the rodent plaguing my kitchen. While lying in bed, I heard an unmistakable snap, and ran to see what I'd caught. The mouse trap was missing. I now have a large, angry, and possibly dying animal running around my house. FML
Jerry wins again
Today, I failed a basic intelligence test when the mouse trap I was setting up snapped on my thumb. Later, when I checked the trap I saw that the mouse had managed to lick all the bait off the trap without being caught, I have a sore thumb and was outsmarted by a rodent. FML
Today, I fractured my finger setting up a rat trap. FML
Pest control
Today, I went to empty a mousetrap, only to discover that SOMETHING had eaten the dead mouse's brain and eyeballs. I reset the trap, only to find a half-dead mouse struggling to get out an hour later. My office is like its own tiny little horror movie. FML
Late night
Today, I placed sticky mouse traps in my bedroom. it's now 12:05 a.m. and I've successfully caught a mouse. Too bad I'm scared of them and my husband is passed out asleep. I now get to listen to a mouse squeak all night and have to be up in 4 hours. FML
Today, I was outside when a mouse ran toward my feet. There was a wall behind me, so I tried to jump over him. He changed course, and I landed on him. It crunched. FML
Today, I was sitting on my couch when I felt something weird underneath me. I got up, thinking I'd sat on my phone or something. Wrong. I'd sat on a live mouse. FML
Today, my little sister decided to move one of the mouse traps I set for our current mouse problem onto my desk chair. Apparently when a mouse is caught in a mousetrap it's cruel, but when it snaps on my balls, that's hilarious. FML
Winds of change
Today, I stepped on a glue trap for scorpions. Bare foot. There was a scorpion already caught on it. It wasn't dead. FML
Sorry Mr Nibbles
Today, I was at my boyfriend's house, meeting his family for the first time. We were all standing in the kitchen when suddenly a small white and brown mouse ran by. Out of natural instinct, I stomped on it. Turns out, it was his little sister's pet mouse that had gotten out of its cage earlier. FML

Buy a cat and name him Tom. Let the shenanigans commence!

This is why the board game is so much better. The worst that could happen is the metal ball landed on your piece!

That's horrible, there are much safer ways to transport a cat. #barrowcruelty

Is the mouse named Cortex?

I think "Jerry" would be a better name.

Well I would say to try using the sticky traps instead but all things considered that might end very badly
sweetbliss3 37
no. the sticky pads are just horrendous. they have to literally starve to death, unless you bash their head in to put them out of their misery. mouse traps are the best way to go, less horrible.

Well I guess if the regular traps aren't working he could always befriend the little guy. Who knows maybe it's a good cook.

Not if you find them fast enough. They can be handed over to SPCA or use gloves and pull the mouse away from the pad and release it outside. The best is a trap box actually because you can catch them and release them after without hurting them or leaving sticky residue on them. Just leave food in the box to bait and feed it for a bit until you come back to it.

I'f you release them do it far away from your house so it doesn't come back. Or put it in an unlinked neighbors house.

I've always found a bucket trap (minus the water and plus a wad paper towels to soften the fall) to be very effective for me, I've caught every local pest including mice, chipmunks, rats, and once the neighbors hamster (which was quite a suprise)

Tom...is that you?

Jerry was the mouse. Tom was the cat. Tom cat-- get it?

he usually never catches him though. OP will then still have a mouse but with the addition of a nearly-destroyed apartment.

I meant to call op Tom, but thanks for misunderstanding my make vague joke bro.

Hopefully you can get rid of it before it multiples into an army

Try a humane catch trap. Less messy and if the mouse grabbed the bait off the last trap, it'll have to run into the humane one to get the bait and not over it.

I was just going to suggest this. My roommates tried kill traps for months with no luck, I caught 5 mice in a week.

ask him/her to chip in for rent or he can cook like ratatouille.
XBurytheCastleX 25
Get a safe trap, no pain on your part and it traps the mouse when it goes after the food.
