Today, I saw a few old co-workers at the bar. They recognized me and started calling me by the nickname they had for me that I was unaware of. It appears I was known as "butch megan" by the entire office for 2 years. FML

Today, I was creeping on an old coworker's Facebook and noticed they'd tagged my face in an old group photo as another girl. According to the comments, the girl they'd tagged me as thought it was her too. I worked there for two years and nobody mentioned the mistake. FML
Today, I realized that since I was in elementary school, my friends, my workmates, and even my family, all call me accidentally by someone else's name instead of my actual name. I'm 30 years-old. FML
Today, after being with the company for over 3 years, I realised nobody really knows my name. This was after my boss was walking around a new staff member and couldn't introduce me. Neither could my colleague, who's been sitting next to me for the last 6 months. FML
Today, I realized that I've been using the wrong name for a coworker for the past 6 months. I just found out their real name when I saw their name tag. FML
Today, I found out that since there are 3 people with the same name as me at work, I'm known as "the ugly one". FML
Today, the person that interviewed me for a job was the same person I called a "fat bitch" at a baseball game after she knocked over my drink while she was dancing. She recognized me too. FML
Today, I was at the store when I ran into an old friend from high school. He didn't recognize me at first, but when I told him who I was, he instantly shouted "Oh! Yeah! The fat chick from Mr. H's class!" FML
Today, I realised I get called “buddy” and “champ” at work more than I get called my actual name, I’m 27. FML
Today, I ran into an old friend from college on the bus to work. Having not seen each other in over 10 years, we spent a good 15 minutes talking about our lives after college. At the end, he asked me what my name was. FML
Today, I went to my first day of work in over 2 years. As I approached the boss, he asked me what my name was. Turned out they hired the wrong person. FML

That's awful. I had a stripper nickname I didn't know about but everyone referred to me as, even my mom. But the FML is already over, you see. You can just walk away now.

There are worse nicknames - "Crazy Meghan" "Slutty Meghan" "Chunky Meghan" - Look, "Butch" only means that you don't wear make-up regularly. People are weird. If you are 1/1000th of a tomboy they will pick up on it. Don't take it badly, if they didn't like you, they wouldn't be you friends and meet you for drinks after work. exactly, it's totally steryotype and pisses me off some one called me butch, I'd take it as a compliment, at least then I know they don't think I'm a push over

Eh, that's OK as long as you don't care. They're not your co-workers anymore by the sound of it, so just move on.... Also, I never wear makeup, am a total tomboy, and still get called 'hot/pretty' often so being a tomboy isn't always bad!
