Today, I passed out when my blood sugar dropped. Three times. And each time, my roommate, who was right next to me, just let me fall because he liked the way my face looked. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Lightweight
Today, I went to the doctor for a routine check-up. When the nurse took my blood pressure, I passed out, and fell off the table. FML
Today, I found my boyfriend passed out on the floor. Then I passed out, due to anxiety of seeing him passed out. FML
Today, I took a shower and right after I fell asleep on my bed wrapped in my towel. I awoke to find my dad slapping me in the face. He thought I had fainted because I'm a diabetic. FML
Today, I was sitting in the cafeteria with my friends when I suddenly passed out due to my hypoglycemia. When I woke up, I discovered that I was still in the same spot and my friends had abandoned me to go to class. Also, my stuff was stolen. FML
Prank culture has gone too far
Today, on the bus, my blood sugar level got too low and I passed out. When I came to, the woman next to me was hitting me, saying she needed to get off and that she didn't have time for my, "stupid fucking prank." FML
Today, while at work I passed out due to my blood sugar not being normal. Despite the fact that it took 10 minutes to wake me, no one thought I was in any sort of danger. After the episode, I then got fired for "sleeping on the job." FML
Today, I took a friend home from the hospital. She was on medication that made her drowsy. She fell onto her bed and asked me to help her take off some clothes since she had her winter gear on. She passes out and her roommate walks in and catches me undressing an unconscious girl. FML
This is fine
Today, while at work, I suddenly went into diabetic shock. As I was nearly passed out on the floor, a customer yelled at me for not getting his coffee in time. FML
Zoomed out
Today, I had a low blood sugar attack and almost passed out during class while over Zoom, which my professor then decided to bring attention to by calling me out for "sighing" about the research paper. FML
Method acting
Today, I was working as a stagehand for one of my college classes. I’m diabetic and can’t go without food for more than a few hours. I was told that if I left early, ate anything backstage, or passed out, I would fail the class. I passed out. FML

Did your butt hurt each time you woke up?

Damn OP, you need to keep a Blood sugar monitor nearby to prevent future incidents. Maybe you can keep it in a black pouch that looks like a change purse.

Assuming that you were previously aware that this could happen to you, ydi for not eating on a regular schedule. You were kind of asking for it. If this has never happened before, you still deserve the second and third times for not eating. Your roommate isn't your babysitter. Take care of yourself

Not at all pleasant. I must say that my head aches severely now.

and it wasn't a matter of not eating. I ate fine, it's a matter of sometimes your body freaks out, an you can't help it. And it happened all on the same moment. as soon as I got up to go get my meds, id fall out again. that being said, it's not like I planned this, actually, I had just eaten, but as it's been said, sometimes your body freaks out. And yes I hit my head every-time. no it didn't knock sense into me, it just made me lay down until I could feel my body again and walk to the house to take are of the problem.

Exactly. Even after eating something, the effects don't kick in immediately. Whenever I eat something to 'fix' my low blood sugar, it takes at least 10 minutes for me to feel energized enough to move and eat something else.

have you looked into getting a continuous glucose monitor? if this is a frequent problem, it could be really helpful.

It's never been a true problem before. I think it was part to do with the heat, and stress of the day. I had just eaten, and my sugars were fine, but after sitting out there and talking with him I fell out, and I'd only be up 2 or 3 seconds before I went down again.

why didn't you just eat something the first time, smarts.

dumbass. and you my girl r anorexic. u just let it drop thrice??? just go down to Dunkin donuts and buy urself a nice, thick-icing donut.
5t3ff1k4h 47
She's not necessarily anorexic, dumb-ass. Even if she was, she's not going to eat a donut because you told her to. Do you have any idea how anorexia works?
KoKun 6
How can you assume me to be anorexic? I eat often enough, and manage my weight quite well. I didn't pass out from not eating. I passed out from a sudden drop in sugar. Cripes. it didn't happen on three settings, it happened all in one go, and each time I got up to help myself, I simply fell out again. Steph has a good head on her shoulders. it's a pancreatic disorder that makes my insulin spike, an paired with hypoglycemia and the stress and heat of the day, I met with nothing more than poor circumstances. you people keep saying I need to take better care of myself, but really. there wasnt much I could do at that point but fall on my face enough tomes to realize I couldn't get up right away, calm myself, and slowly make my way to a blood meter, and some snacks.

Well said, dude. I can't get over how many people get off on assuming. It's rarely what they assume anyway as there are so many possibilities. Anyhow, glad to see you're doing better. Passing out like that is not something your roommate should have taken lightly. I am wondering if it's a roommate you were living with in a college/university dorm, or in an apartment unrelated to school, though. If it's the former, see if you can switch. You never know...
