Today, I participated in a walk for charity. Even though I was supposed to walk 5K, I stopped after 3K because the pain from my thighs rubbing together nearly sent me to tears. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Good cause, bad knees
Today, I took part in a charity run for a good cause. I'd trained for months and showed up, only to trip and fall flat on my face at the starting line. I spent the rest of the race with scraped knees and a bruised ego. FML
Today, after not moving at work all day, I decided to be healthy and walk home. Now my thighs are numb from rubbing together. FML
Chub rub
Today, trying to exercise and be more healthy, I went for a walk but I developed a friction thigh rash. The rash is so bad I will likely not be able to get on another walk for days. FML
Health is overrated
Today, trying to get into shape because I run out of breath after walking more than 30 minutes, I started to hit the gym. Too bad my legs didn’t want to cooperate and decided that it would cause limping-worthy pain for every step I took on the treadmill. FML
Volunteering gone too far
Today, I volunteered at a 50 km trail race for charity and was at the service of a walker. It was fun until after the walk was completed, when he made me take off his boots and socks, and massage his big, super stinky, sweaty bare feet. His putrid feet were inches from my face the entire time. FML
Self own
Today, thinking I was pretty healthy, I signed up for a 5K run. I didn’t train at all, thinking, “How hard can it be?” Halfway through, I realized I was in way over my head. I ended up walking the rest of the race, and a 70-year-old man lapped me twice. To make it worse, my friends made a banner that said, “Congratulations on Not Dying!” FML
Today, I injured my knee at a Zumba class, a class I joined to lose weight so my knees wouldn't hurt so much. Now I can't even go for a leisurely walk. FML
Today, I went on a run. Going a decent pace, I passed a woman walking her dog. I joked, "C'mon! Keep up!" Thirty feet later I stepped in mud, rolled my ankle and fell. The woman walked by as I lay in agony, and told me to keep up. FML
Words of encouragement
Today, I achieved a personal goal by completing a half-marathon for charity, despite being overweight and unfit before training. When I finished I cried, not because I was proud of myself, but because I ran the last two miles while being followed by kids on bicycles calling me a "fat cunt". FML
Steady as she goes
Today, I tried to walk on the sidewalk. Actually, it was so slippery that I had to shimmy across it. Then I shimmied too quickly and fell down. Now everything hurts. Maybe next time I should bring a sled. FML

Also the 'silky underwear' powder from lush is wonderful, and it smells amazing!

Thank you so much for this! As an addition I've also found that biker shorts are really helpful (when your dress is long enough to cover them) or if the end of your shorts keep riding up.

This is one instance where the phrase "Thick thighs save lives" doesn't work.

Better to try and fail, then not try at all. I salute you OP

I feel you OP, same thing happens when I wear a skirt or dress. FYL

That's why I always wear shorts, panty hose or leggings under skirts and dresses. Even on hot summer days. That, and you don't have to fear accidental exposure due to wind or sitting comfortably.

Monistat makes an anti chafing gel that's less than $10 for a tube that lasts quite a long time. Just rub a little pea sized amount wherever you usually chafe (good for thighs as well as anywhere else) and good to go. Reapply as/if necessary, of course. It also relieves pain if already chafed. It's great for guys too. I swear by the stuff. It's a life saver on hikes in shorts.

It is awful I want to cry after wearing shorts or a dress. It is rarely spoken about
