Today, I'm planning my big sister's wedding. My long-term, live-in boyfriend walked by and saw me looking at the wedding tab on Pinterest, smirked, and said, "Don't get your hopes up." I had. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste

Today, I found out that my fiancé's sister, who only got engaged a couple of months ago, is getting married before us. I wouldn't have a problem with this if she wasn't planning her wedding to be exactly like ours will be. FML
Today, my sister asked me if I was going to be getting married "for real" this time, because she didn't want to waste her money like she did on my previous engagement. The reason that one didn't work out in the first place is because she slept with my fiancé. FML
Congratulations, you played yourself!
Today, I was at a family gathering when my aunt asked me if I was seeing anyone special. In a tired and sarcastic tone, I jokingly said, “I’m actually getting married next month!” The room went silent, then some of them cheered. I had to explain I was kidding, but now they’re looking forward to a wedding I didn’t agree to. FML
Today, I found my sister's wedding book. Inside it was a list of potential grooms; she'd written down all of my ex-boyfriends. And my fiancé. We're getting married in three weeks. FML
Scheming
Today, I was supposed to get married. Instead, my sister made up a story about me cheating on my fiancé at the bachelorette party. He bought it and dumped me, despite there being no evidence of this. Turns out it was all a plan because they were secretly seeing each other for months. FML
Eavesdropping ain't a good idea
Today, I overheard my boyfriend's future sister-in-law ask him not to bring me to the wedding. Apparently, me being so much shorter than everyone else is "embarrassing" and "would make the pictures look weird." FML
Banished
Today, my older sister told me about their table plan at their wedding. She is one of my best friends too, so I was shocked that I had been placed far away, and separated from my husband. FML
Chopped
Today, my girlfriend caught the bouquet at her sister's wedding. I took it as a sign so after we got home, I proposed. She laughed and said no way. I'm done. FML
Today, my sister called me and asked if my boyfriend of 3 years had proposed to me yet. And now the surprise is ruined. FML
Acceptance
Today, I overheard my soon to be step-daughter telling her friend on the phone that she hopes that mine and her father's wedding is just a big joke, and that he isn't really going to go through with it. I just dropped five grand on a dress and venue. She's in for a surprise. FML

He probably doesn't even deserve you OP. I bet that wedding, will be beautiful, too!!

Weddings stir up emotions, and it's likely your boyfriend will witness the special moment and want it for himself too. Keep positive, it'll come eventually. Unless there's a dramatic plot twist, and your sister/her fiancé dramatically leaves like in a soap opera.

This FML really made me feel for you OP. I hope he becomes the person you deserve or you find the person you deserve.

If it's a long term live-in relationship it's very likely OP and her boyfriend had had some conversation about marriage along the way. So without knowing the meat of that conversation I can't really vote either way on this. If he said he didn't want marriage and OP is getting her hopes up because of working on a wedding, it's a YDI to me. If he changed his mind somewhere along the line, then throw him out and FYL.

Maybe he's just trying to throw you off so it'll be a surprise!

With today's divorce and alimony laws, I honestly can't blame him, even if that was a dickish thing to say. For us guys, getting married can literally end up being a life-destroying decision these days.

That's what your response should be the next time he expects to get lucky. Don't get your hopes up!

Discuss this with him. If he has no intention of marriage, and you want to get married, you both need to separate and move on.

Considering that you have a "long-term, live-in boyfriend" I don't think "ForeverAlone" is the right name for you...
