Today, I have severe back pain that is only relieved by lying flat on my bed. I also have acid reflux that is only prevented by sitting straight up. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Knackered
Today, I'm fit, but so exhausted from work that I hardly managed to even climb the stairs. Yet, as soon as I sit on the couch for longer than half an hour, my butt starts hurting. So I guess it’s either reading a book lying on my stomach, which makes my back hurt, or hanging upside down from the ceiling like a bat. FML
Do not disturb
Today, I have such chronic back pain that I can usually never get comfortable, but I found the perfect position to lie in bed, and was nearly 100% pain free. I felt so good. Someone knocked on the door, so I had to answer it. They'd got the wrong house number. I couldn’t find that perfect position again. FML
Pain in the ass
Today, I awoke to an excruciating pain in my back from sleeping in the same position all night. I can't wipe my own ass. I've already gone to shit twice. FML
Today, I ended up in the hospital due to a severe acid reflux attack. I knew I had acid reflux for years, but was never allowed to get it checked out. Why? My dad told me I was too young to have it and that I was making it up. I now have to see a specialist. FML
Not this again
Today, I woke up with my back super sore. I couldn’t get out of my bed without crying and great difficulty. The last time my chronic pain was like this it went on for three months and I could barely move. It was absolutely awful. FML
Today, I was suffering from acid reflux. I was told that drinking water laced with baking soda would help. Nope, all it did was create a huge belch that made me vomit all over myself. FML
I don't like to move it, move it
Today, I realized just how sedentary both my work and home lives are after I went to the doctor with a rash on my butt and he diagnosed it as bedsores from near constant sitting. FML
Today, I sneezed so hard that I threw my back out. Now my back is in agonizing pain, and I can barely walk. FML
Take the W
Today, I got back from a holiday. I've been suffering from debilitating muscle spasms in my back for over a year, causing migraines and immobility. After all the physical therapy, drugs, and tests, it seems it was caused simply by my mattress. A week of sleeping in the hotel bed completely alleviated it. FML
Mother of the year
Today, I'm sitting in agonizing pain following a scoliosis surgery. I have a bunch of painkillers that I need to suppress the incredible back pain, but looks like I can't take any, because my mom has hidden them from me because she thinks I need to be taken off them. I wish my doctor was here. FML

Sit up at an angle to partially relieve both! It's bound to work!

Don't they make medicine for stuff like that?

Take what Larry the Cable Guy is pitching on TV. He's so ******* funny, whatever he sells has to work, right? Binge drinking will probably help. It won't fix your current problems, but it will just wash them away.

Try tilting to the left when you lie down, I've heard that it helps the stomach through gravity or something like that. If it's possible it wouldn't hurt to try right?

Actually, it could quite literally 'hurt' to try.

I have read that one recommendation for people with reflux is lying on the left side because of how the stomach is situated. Can you get some pillows or something to elevate your chest so you're not quite flat on your back, OP? Hope you feel better soon.

I've actually had this same combination of problems! Fortunately though, the back pain wasn't chronic.

How about just smoking weed. I heard from people that it's a good pain reliever.
da_directioner39 17
Did you hear that from a weed addict?

Probly the medicinal marijuana community considering thats what it was legalized for

That really sucks. Whichever's more agonising, sooth that. For acid reflux get your self some medicine.
