Today, I have pink eye in both eyes, the stomach virus, and a cold. I'm also sitting at work because my boss "doesn't believe in sick days." FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Daycare is open
Today, I woke up with viral pink eye in both eyes. I work at a daycare and half the staff got it. We live in a state where there's mandatory sick time for all employees but people still take their sick kids to daycare. It's been a month of pink eye in my facility and I feel like it's never going to stop. FML
Today, despite having a stomach bug, I went into work, as my boss is overseas and had warned me not to take any sick leave until she returned. After 4 hours and vomiting twice, I left. She found out and sent me an email bitching me out for coming in sick. FML
Today, I have food poisoning. My boss told me that if I didn't come into work, I'd be fired. Not 30 minutes after sitting down, I sneezed and shat my pants. My boss still won't let me leave. FML
Today, I had to call out of work because I was ill, but they didn't believe me because today was the day I was supposed to come back from vacation. Now I'm stuck at work, constantly running to the bathroom, and they still won't let me go home. FML
Seize the means of production
Today, I’m at home, sick with a really bad sinus and ear infection. If I'd gone to the clinic earlier, then it wouldn’t have spread to my ears, but my boss wouldn’t let me take a day off. FML
Today, I learned that I have a sinus infection, ear infection and bronchitis so bad it was on the verge of pneumonia. My work won't let me call in sick. I work with kids. Lovely. FML
Today, after I've been sick all week, but still coming in to work (I'm not contagious) because I know that we're short staffed, I sucked it up and came in again, only to find out 3 other employees called in because they're hungover. Now I have to do my job and theirs. FML
Asshat
Today, I woke up with a sore throat and a stuffy nose. As my boss is an asshat who hates allowing sick leave, I thought I could power through it, but halfway through my workday I sneezed so hard that I threw my back out. I had to go home early and now I can't move without pain. FML
Lava
Today, I joked with my boss about calling in sick to work tomorrow with food poisoning to avoid taking the Sunday shift. Tonight, I'm sitting on the toilet bowl in agonizing pain with combination diarrhea and vomiting. My shift starts in 3 hours. FML
Funday is canceled
Today, I’m currently battling a cold that caused me to call into work yesterday and, as of this morning, I’ve also started my period and have the most painful cramps ever. Good thing I have the day off from work. FML

I'm pretty sure you have a valid excuse here. Isn't this illegal in some way?

if you throw up on his desk, I'm sure he'll reconsider.

it dosen't really matter if he "believes" in them or not. it is not legal to force you to work if you are legitimately sick. you have rights. just make sure you get a doctor's note and be sure to give your boss a copy so that it is on record. if he threatens you with termination let him know you wont be taking that laying down and stand up for yourself. chances are he will be smart enough to drop it right there.

Be sure to rub your eyes and then touch all of your boss' stuff lol

Pretty sure you can sue for that.

Rub both eyes a lot and touch him a lot or places that he touches!

People like this make my blood boil. There needs to be a law requiring a minimum number of sick days in the US. Stress and worry at work is unhealthy for your brain and body especially when your immune system is fighting disease.

This is America, anything is possible with a good lawyer.

What a jerk! Wait until everyone else gets suck with your illnesses and then he might regret it. You could go over to his things and breathe all over them and rub your hand over your eyes and onto his work phone, computer, doorknobs... Of course that would be unkind. I know I would think about doing it even if I wouldn't follow through ;)

Suck for your coworkers, i wouldn't want to be exposed to anyone else's disease just because my boss is absolute ass. Pink eye is extremely contagious, wash your hands every chance you get, stock up on Purel and become as antisocial as your job description will allow - everyone in the office will thank you for it.

Spread the pink eye and cause your boss a less productive environment!
