Today, I had my first open job interview, which is when a group of applicants are interviewed together. I also found out that despite being great at one-on-one interviews, I will panic and make myself look like a complete moron when I'm part of a group. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I walked into a door on my way in to an interview, in front of the interviewer and a group of people waiting to be interviewed. FML
Today, I had my first interview in over a year. I panicked and passed out. FML
Today, I went to an important job interview. I was really anxious but tried to soldier on anyway. When I was called in, my nerves got so bad that I reverted to speaking my second language. Not first, second. I'm pretty sure I'm not getting the job. FML
Nervous wreck
Today, after a spate of bad ones, I was in another job interview trying my hardest to give a good impression. After answering a few questions, I realized to my horror that while I was talking I was swiveling my chair from left to right like a nervous child. FML
Today, I went to my first ever job interview, in a totally stressed out state. The employer's first question was: "What's your name?" I forgot. FML
Quickfire round
Today, I had a panel job interview with 3 people. My nerves got the best of me, especially when they asked me about my weaknesses. I gave them an answer, but they kept bombarding me with additional follow-up questions that I couldn’t think of the answers to. It got so bad, I was reduced to tears. FML
Not a good sign
Today, I went to my first job interview. I didn't think I was doing too badly, until the interviewer said, "Wait a second, you're in high school?" I explained that the guy who'd called me had said that this wouldn't be a problem. I then watched as my interviewer left his desk to "deal" with him. FML
Babbling brook
Today, I had an interview for a new position in my company. The head of HR decided to sit and I got so nervous that I just spouted gibberish for 45 minutes. Pretty sure I convinced her I’m not qualified for the position I’m currently in. FML
Today, I had a job interview for an amazing opportunity. Too bad my nerves made me forget what the role was and where it was, mid-interview. FML
Today, I had a job interview. It went really well until I couldn't figure out how to open the slide door to get out of the room. FML

Ah, two lovely, creative, well-thought out comments are so fortunately on top. So sad to see a decline in originality and humor recently.

I've interviewed people and I have to say, the most terrified ones are the ones we usually go for. If they can cry, even better.

as a UK graduate applying to grad schemes right now, i feel your fear dude, assessment centres are currently the bane of my existence. Just tell yourself "I will never see these people again after this" and just be really open and eager to answer! also standing in a confident stance helps you build confidence, something about the release of hormones. Don't stop trying, op! Something's out there for you!

I can understand the anxiety when it comes to group interviews. When I last participated in one, I heard the other applicants about their skills and experience. And, when comparing them to my own, I felt like I wouldn't get myself through to the interviewer. But, I can get the reasoning behind these group things. It's best to practice these scenarios with friends and family before the real thing happens. Best of luck to your future opportunities. c:

So you didn't get this job, it gives you something to work on before your next interview.

Just pretend they're not there and answer as fast as you can with good responses. Good luck next time tho.
