Today, I got stumped by a childproof door. Twice. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Classic
Today, I struggled to open a childproof bottle, which, by the way, had the instructions printed on the lid. FML.
Today, I cut myself with child-proof scissors. FML
Today, I locked the door to our only bathroom so my two year old wouldn't get in and make a mess. I crapped my pants while trying to unlock it with the key that rests on the frame. FML
Today, we got new doors fitted. There were new locks on the bathroom, to the reluctance of my mother, who thought one of us would lock ourselves in. "Only an idiot would lock themselves in," I said, and shut the door to demonstrate. I locked myself in. FML
Today, I was locked out of my house. After hours of trying to break the door, I found out I accidentally left a window open. The door, however, still needs to be replaced. FML
Today, I needed to grab something from the garage. As soon as the door closed, I heard a little click sound. My one-year-old seems to have figured out the door lock. FML
HELP!
Today, I was fed up with things being taken from my room so I installed a key-locking handle on my door. I installed everything but the door knobs, and because I was worried that I would put the two of them on backwards, I closed the door to check. I'm now locked in my room. FML
Masters of mischief
Today, my 4-year-old twin sons discovered how to lock doors. They locked me out of the house while I was taking out the trash. I had to climb through the kitchen window, which they'd generously smeared with peanut butter. FML
Confused
Today, I locked myself out of the house I was house-sitting. An hour later, and my fifth attempt at climbing the fence, I figured I'd try the door one more time. Turns out I was turning the handle the wrong way and the door wasn't locked in the first place. FML
Today, I had no choice but to use a porta potty. I was happy to get a clean one. I wasn't happy when a young child tried opening the door and used enough force to break the lock, showing me sitting on the toilet to the world. FML

Well there's a child in all of us. Some more than others.

My 3 yr old doesn't know how to work them (the covers that go on a door knob) but he knows how to take it completely off, open the door, then put it back on. I'm not sure if I should be impressed or upset! I still have a hard time getting them on/off but have figured out how to work it while on... 0_o

U poor poor minded person, I hope you don't get elected into politics, but I fear you could.

At least it wasn't a childproof toilet seat latch ... If you think doors are bad, just you wait.

The kids I used to babysit for had those. Lesson of the day - don't wait until you're bursting to pee to start figuring out the toilet seat locks.

Sounds like something I did the other day... Seriously, those things can be a pain in the ass to use! Don't worry OP, we've all made that mistake AT LEAST once as an adult! Lol

I remember when I was a little kid I could get all those "child proof" things open, no problem. Then I hit puberty and have struggled with them since.
