Today, I got my paycheck. I was really excited since I've been broke for the last two weeks. On my way home, I got pulled over and got a ticket for expired tags. The $90 for new tags plus $135 for the citation will leave me with enough to buy a burger. FML

At least you get a burger!(:

Maybe renew your tags on time like a responsible adult and this won't happen.

Biggest YDI. If American law is anything like Australian, the minute your registration runs out all your insurance is void. So think yourself lucky you didn't crash into someone and have to go bankrupt all because you didn't pay your rego on time.

American law is nothing like your crazy Aussie laws. For one that makes no sense and two that is downright idiotic law there.

you know you have up to a month to pay the citation, right? save half now and half on the next check and pay then or just put it all on the next check. you'll have saved yourself from only having enough for one burger. :)

idk about you but I'd get a better job..

do community service! and in tx, u have 10 days into the following month after they expire before u get a ticket

Not to mention if you get it fixed within 10 days it's only 10 bucks in court costs vs the whole amount.

well, can't go wrong with a burger :P

Lol how is that the cop's fault?

Might be time for a new job if you're only making $250 a check
