Today, I got a new computer because my old one crashed, deleting all music, photos, and documents. I still had all my music on my iPod though, and went to sync it to the new computer. By accident, my younger brother pulled the cord out before it was done, deleting all 3,000 songs forever. FML
Collection
Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, my computer stopped working. Me, the technology challenged one, decided to do a system recovery on it hoping that I could make it better. Turns out, system recovery means deleting all the files off the computer including family photos, music and assignments and starting fresh. FML
Today, my parents got me a new computer for my birthday. They also took the liberty of throwing out my old computer, with 8 years of photos, videos, music, documents, emails, and bookmarks on it. But that's okay, I had a backup. They threw that out too. FML
Today, my computer crashed and lost all of its data while I was making a back up. FML
Today, I deleted a load of junk that was messing up my mother's computer. I don't know how I'm going to tell her I accidentally wiped out all of her wedding photos. FML
Today, I got a laptop for my birthday. I was thrilled until I realized that my mom had given away my old one without asking. 6 years of games, music, and pictures down the drain. FML
Make it stop!
Today, I accidentally left some music playing on my iPad, then left to do some errands. When I came back, I found it smashed into a million pieces. Apparently, grandpa couldn't find any other way to "shut off that goddamn music." FML
Today, I lost two terabytes' worth of photos to a friend's incompetence. He said he could save me some money and fix my slow computer for free. He ended up wiping the hard drive, and along with it, my photography portfolio from the last five years. FML
Today, I bought a new iPod to replace my old one which decided to stop working. After purchasing my new nano iPod, I decided to bang my old iPod on the desk very hard because it was useless. It started working again. FML
Restore device
Today, I woke up to find out that my phone, which contained all of my pictures and videos from the past year, had completely crashed. Despite trying everything, I couldn't recover any of the data, even from the cloud backup. All those memories, gone forever. FML
Back to square one
Today, I was colouring countries on a map on my computer whilst listening to music. I was almost done when, whilst swinging my legs to the beat, my leg caught on the computer’s power cord and pulled it out. I was so caught up in the job I hadn’t saved in a while, so all my progress went up in digital smoke. FML

through the apple store you can re-download your purchases up to 3 times. there's how-to's all over the internet, good luck!!

invest in an external hard drive for backing your stuff up.

If you bought them legally you can get them back by presenting your account information to the vendor. If not, ha ha YDI.

If he got the songs from itunes he can't do that.

thats sucks, um can i ask someone a question? i got a virus on my old computer with 1000 songs on it. How do i get my songs on my new laptop? please respond

Well, you could try, like, copying them. Thumb drive, external hard drive...? Unless the songs themselves are infected you shouldn't have a problem. Of course scan whatever device you use to copy them with whatever virus scanning software you have on your new computer before actually copying them over.

Wow, only 3000? It'd take a while to download but not that long, assuming you didn't buy the music legally. It could've been worse and I'm sure it has for some people.

MADED??? Are you kidding???

Totally! It happened to me once too....except it was more like 12,000 songs :X (and no, I didn't buy them all before anyone asks! lol)

Too bad, it's going to take you a while to re-steal them.

Yeah, um, plexi... Someone is going around burying nearly all of your and my comments. Not just the offensive ones, but all of them. Probably someone one or both of us showed to be an idiot via comments. Not sure. Whoever it is is a loser even by internet entertainment standards. =) It's fine though, everyone clicks on the buried ones. Thanks, jealous person!

Probably the guy that lost the manboob bump-off. ;)

Haha, you're right! I'm actually thinking CL41RE, because now mercy's comment on this page is buried for no reason, and that chick has a grudge against all of us "elites" (i.e. You, me, mercy, redbluegreen, allmidnighteyes, witchcraft, etc. etc.) sexico, why aren't you talking to me on AIM?

"Probably someone one or both of us showed to be an idiot via comments." Holy shit, if that's the case, the suspects could fill a football stadium! P.S. Who do I talk to about getting authorization to start a Plexico & Intoxicunt fan club? I'm sure I'd have tons of FMLers lining up to join =)
Intoxicunt 6
You have authorization now. Do it! We already have a "plexico, have my babies" club... I'd love one that includes me! Your comment was flattering and awesome. :D

Wow, someone has no life to bury all these comments.

Guys (and gals): what about me? I'm a regular here too, and I often fire off sarcastic replies every once in a while. My fave reply was with the one where the guy said he jumped into a pool, and heard his phone going off in his pocket, so I told him it was a YDI for not putting it on silent first. Come on, that's comedic gold!
Intoxicunt 6
True that. Someone has a little chip on their shoulder! I just hope it's Cheetos...

How dare someone go through and bury all the intelligent people? God forbid the trolls leave be the people with brains. Yay Toxi, I is included! :D

OMG This is hilarious! Intelligent people? Isn't this a site to complain about how shitty your life is? THANK YOU ALL for making me laugh this morning!
Witchcraft_fml 5
You fail. We comment on other people's shitty lives or comment on comments about other people's shitty lives. Besides that, how does complaining about having a shitty life make one unintelligent?

wow, that sucks. music is life... wat r u going to do now?

I call fake: 1) You are unable to sync from the iPod to the PC using iTunes. 2) A computer "crashing" doesn't somehow delete everything.
Dcvictorious 0
You get a CD with Itunes on when you get an Ipod. So it would be possible to Sync. But I don't know anything about computers.
XOfiestypixie 0
Since when do you get a CD with iTunes on it when you buy an iPod? The last time I checked (and this was very recently because I just got a new one) all they gave you was instructions on downloading iTunes off of the apple site.
violentturtle 0
I got one with mine, but this was a while back...

you can sync from ipod to itunes. ive done it before.
