Today, I got a bad review on my work's Facebook page. The girl said I was very rude and I should never work with the public. I was trying to flirt with her. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Undercover
Today, I was talking to this girl I really like at my work. Everything was going fine until our boss called me into his office. Apparently I was being a little too flirty with his daughter. FML
Gaslighting
Today, my promotion at work was revoked and I was written up, all because some customer decided to write a negative review about me on Google. Apparently, I was “rude” to her and “rolled my eyes at her” and called her stupid. I never met this woman a day in my life, and they won’t believe me. FML
Monolith
Today, I accidentally posted an extensive, negative review of the gynecologist I visited earlier this week. I messed up and posted it from my work's customer service email, so now it looks like the large, well-known company I work for had a poor gynecological experience. FML
Today, I tried to write a bad review for the fast-food place at which I work part-time. My username made me anonymous, but I forgot to change my profile picture. Now my manager and coworkers won't even speak to me. FML
Today, at work, we had an extremely rude customer who started cussing at us, and my coworker started cussing back. I jumped on the register to quickly bring down the line, and apologized to everyone for the scene. A secret shopper was in the line and claimed that I was rude. I got written up. FML
Nice guy
Today, I got written up by my line manager for being too friendly to customers. I work in retail, my job is to be friendly. FML
The customer is mainly an ass
Today, at the hotel I work, I was at the pool folding towels. A girl comes in wearing a thong bikini bottom. Our rules prohibit thong swimsuits. When I pointed it out at her, she called me a “jealous fat bitch.” Turns out she left a one star review on Google, saying I was “rude” to her. I got written up. FML
He tried.
Today, I rejected a girl I work with because I have a girlfriend. That girl then posted on Facebook that she'd friendzoned me for being creepy. My girlfriend saw the post, believed it, and dumped me. FML
Today, I asked one of the girls at work out on a date. She responded by filing a harassment complaint. Now, I can't speak to her at all without being written up. FML
Today, I got yelled at for providing horrible customer service, in a store I don't even work for. FML

Then YDI. Don't flirt with your customers for one.

You should never ever flirt with people on the job, neither customers or other employees. That's not appropriate in a work environment where you are supposed to be professional, and it also makes some customers uncomfortable and puts them in an awkward position.

YDI, that's why you shouldn't flirt at work

Yeah, it IS rude to flirt with a customer if they don't initiate first (and even then it's unprofessional). The woman was probably just trying to get some errand done, and you slowed her down and kept saying weird shit at her that she evidently wasn't responding to. Nothing worse than trying to buy a sandwich while the guy on the register keeps asking you awkward questions about yourself.

Today someone learned that flirting in the wrong situation is considered very rude.

There's an age old saying: "Don't mix business with pleasure"

If she hasn't complained to your manager yet, I hope she does. Also, flirting with customers is how you lose business.

YDI. Stop trying to flirt at work and keep it professional.

You weren't trying to "neg" her were you? Either way work is not the time to flirt.

I don't see why everyone is saying that you deserved it for flirting with her. It confuses me how some people consider it rude to flirt these days if you're a guy. like, **** dudes. Right? As long as you're not a **** about it, I don't see the problem.

Gender doesn't matter, it's rude for anybody at work to flirt with customers.

You shouldn't flirt with customers because it's unprofessional and rude and it makes trying to do your errands or eating really awkward. The customers aren't trying to get laid, they're trying to get shit done or have a good time. An employee flirting with them just makes things harder and more uncomfortable then it should be.

Funnily enough, the only person in the comments who made this about OP's gender is YOU. No one else cares what dangles between his legs, there are even people talking about how they've experienced women flirting on the job and how inappropriate that was. It's about the principle - if you're at your job, you're expected to be professional. Trying to get a date or to get into someone's pants is about as unprofessional as you can get.

Ha, you got slammed by your "customers" on here. Never flirt on your job, dude.
