Today, I found out why my dad always treated me badly as a kid compared to my siblings. It's because I was conceived while my mom was cheating on him. On top of that, he made it clear that he still doesn't consider me a "real" part of the family. FML

Today, my dad's will included a DNA test he did on me when I was 3, proving I’m not his son. I thought we had a great relationship, but apparently he secretly hated me all these years for mom cheating, and decided to embarrass me in front of our family, half of whom it turns out I’m not related to. FML
Today, I was uninvited to a family reunion because I’m the result of my mom’s affair while she was married to her husband, who raised me as a dad for 22 years before we found out. According to my aunts, uncles, and cousins who I grew up with, it means I’m not really family anymore. FML
Today, I found out I was named after the woman my dad was having an affair on my mom with. FML
Today, I found out the truth about my parents’ divorce and why our family is so distant. Turns out my dad had an affair with not one, but two of my mom’s sisters. And that my youngest cousin is also my half-sister. FML
Today, I tried to reconcile with my estranged father after learning that all the things my mom said were lies to turn me against him. He refused and told me that he has a new daughter and that I'm not part of the picture. I know I deserve it but… FML
Today, I realized my dad was right about everything: the hot guy who was attractive because my dad hated him so much really was a scumbag. I found out after he got me pregnant, vanished, and then learned that he also got my sister and cousin pregnant. FML
Today, my dad told me quite bluntly that, while he loved me, he never planned to have me. My mom baby-trapped him by sabotaging their birth control methods, and my existence ruined his life irrevocably and caused the functional alcoholism he has suffered with for 40 years. FML
Today, I found out that the only reason I'm alive is because my dad beat the living shit out of my mom to stop her getting an abortion. FML
Today, I found out that my dad has drunkenly told my sister more than once that he doesn’t love either of us, and even then he prefers her over me. All these years I thought I was crazy for thinking I had any kind of daddy issues, but I guess that must be why I’m a phenomenal fuck. FML
Today, my parents finally got married. At the after-party, my mother got drunk and informed me that even though she and my father were now married, it doesn't change the fact that I'm still a bastard. FML

That is horrible. He should treat you no different; you are innocent and regardless he doesn't know anything for sure I bet but he should know that he is your father and you love him.

Sorry OP. It's not your fault you were conceived during a infidelity Liaison. Your dad hasn't forgiven your mom so he is taking it out on you. I guess you are a constant reminder of that cheating time. Chin up. I hope your siblings love you regardless .

The father is a douche. Yes the mother cheated and that must have hurt but to take his anger out on an innocent child is unbelievable.

Am I the only one who finds it strange that the father considers the wife (who CHOSE to cheat on him) as part of the family, but OP (who cannot choose who his father was) as excluded from the family? It would make sense to either forgive the wife and therefore accept her son, or split up with her once he discovered her cheating and reject both her and her illegitimate son. The father is clearly not thinking properly, don't let his words discourage you too much OP!

That made you into the strong person you are now. If someone cannot get past their own selfish feelings to help raise a child then they shouldn't even be a parent. That's horrible. I hope it has gotten better for you, OP and if it has; its because you made it better.
