Today, I found out that my apartment complex has no rules against having charcoal grills on the porch. So did the guy who lives below me. FML
Collection
Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, a neighbor called the cops on me and my friends because we were "starting a fire" in the backyard. We were using a barbecue. FML
Smokey
Today, my grandpa decided to charcoal-grill some steaks. Inside the house. FML
Close proximity
Today, I am appalled that my neighbor was fired from his job. Not because I pity him, but because now he will not only light his stinking grill under my living room window every single night, but also play his radio outside all day long. Also right under my window. His garden is HUGE by the way. FML
Today, I found out that my upstairs neighbor has a cat. I was blessed with this knowledge when she threw several piles of used kitty litter and cat poop over her balcony and onto my patio. FML
Fire hazard
Today, my boyfriend thought it was OK for both of us to leave the house with the oven on. FML
Today, I was standing on the patio when one of my upstairs neighbors threw a cigarette butt over the balcony. It landed on my head and burned some of my hair. FML
Pass the parcel
Today, my fireplace caught fire. The landlord says renters insurance should cover it. The rental insurance says the landlord should. FML
Today, I found out that the 2 loud "firework booms" I heard were actually a guy shooting his dog on the unfinished road behind my house. FML
New or used?
Today, I discovered that my old roommate had left a full bag of cat litter on my porch and all over my yard. FML
Today, I learned that my new apartment complex does not allow "altercations in community areas". This includes pulling my child out of the pool and reprimanding him for holding his cousin under water. I can't parent outside my apartment. FML

Maybe you can get some plants out there and water them whenever he is out there. And then "accidentally" spill on him.

Well, I hope you like the smell of smoke, and cooked meat. No, I'm kidding, that really does suck, if you leave the door open your apartment will stink. Also, that REALLY isn't the safest thing, maybe you should talk to the owners?

#3 I'm sure op already know all of that. Sucks though, I imagine it would be like living above a kebab shop.

He should of used propane a clean and efficient way to grill taste the meat not the heat

It's a simple fix. Just start emptying your dirty dishwater out your window.

Charcoal gives meat a better flavor than propane. Also who doesn't like the smell of the glorious BBQ?

53 because it's toxic. Gets rid of the problem.

Ask if you can come over sometime. And get yourself some meat if ya know what i mean... ;) Then steal his bbq.

Is there a rule against peeing on your downstairs neighbour's charcoal grill? I'd check into that if I were you.

Sorry Doc, rule #167A says urinating is strictly prohibited. They don't say anything about ******** though.

^ Which reminds me of an fml a while back that this poor woman had to apologize to her downstairs neighbour for her dog crapping onto the lower balcony from above, even though she didn't have a dog. She just couldn't admit that her husband did that every time he was drinking. ;) So, solution presents itself with a past, success example. Really, if 2 or 3 times a week someone or something took a dump into your BBQ, wouldn't you consider relocating it? ;) Just a thought.
