Today, I dropped my phone in water, and my friends told me to put it in rice to draw out the water. They put my phone in riceroni. My phone now smells like chicken and has rice seasoning stuck all over it. Needless to say it still doesn't work. FML

Today, I dropped my phone in the wet snow. I read that putting it in rice helps to get the water out. Three pieces of rice are now frozen into the power port, and I can't get the charger in. FML
Today, I managed to wash my phone with my laundry. I didn’t realize it was in my jeans until I heard a thudding noise. After rescuing it from the depths of soggy clothes, I tried the rice trick to dry it out. A few hours later, my cat thought it was a new litter tray and promptly pissed in the rice, then spread it all over the counter. FML
Today, I was texting while making dinner. I went to pour the noodles into the boiling water and I dropped my phone in. Not thinking, I went to retrieve it from the water. I now have a completely useless phone and a useless hand. FML
Today, I put my phone in the dishwasher by accident. I'd left it on the kitchen counter with a bunch of dirty stuff and, distracted, loaded it in with the plates. I only realized it when the dishwasher started making weird noises. My phone was soaked and blinking with bubbles inside. It didn’t survive. FML
Today, after dropping my phone in the toilet, I left it dismantled outside in my backyard to dry hoping it could be saved. I forgot about the phone as well as the sprinklers that were scheduled to go off. FML
Today, I woke up to find my cat had knocked my phone into the toilet. As I fished it out, soaking wet, I thought, "Well, at least it's water-resistant." Turns out, my phone wasn't. FML
Today, I put my phone in the fridge to cool it down. Now it's cold, but it won't turn on. FML
Today, I dropped my phone in the toilet. Now I know why they call it 'smart' phone; it's smarter than me. FML
Today, I dropped my phone in the frying pan whilst cooking my steak. I had to rinse off the oil immediately and clean the phone, then had to eat a cold steak. FML
Today, I learned the reason they say don't keep your phone in high humidity places. I left my phone on the counter when I went to take a shower. It now won't turn on due to water damage and the warranty doesn't cover it. FML

Hey. You got one of the new Ismell's. :-P Anyway, it's dry rice you have to use dumbass. And you have to leave it in there for a day or 2. Either that or A. be more careful or B. Get some phone insurance if it's something expensive.

If your cell phone or MP3 player falls in water... 1. Remove it immediately. 2. If possible, remove the battery. 3. Dry it off, shake it out. 4. Put it in a container of white rice, which will draw out any water left in it. Leave overnight. Shake out the rice. 5. Try powering it on. If it works, great! If there's still some condensation in it, go to step 9. If it doesn't work, go to step 6. 6. Go to a pharmacy and ask for 100% alcohol. Don't use anything you can buy at a liquor store, like neutral grain spirits (Everclear). It may take a couple days to get it, but they should be able to get it. 7. Soak the phone in the alcohol overnight. This will dissolve any water that's left in the cell phone. Let dry for 24 hours. 8. Try powering it on. If it doesn't work, I don't know anything else to do. If it does work, great! If there's some condensation in the screen, proceed. 9. Get an electric therapeutic heating pad. Put the phone face down (opening up) on the heating pad. Leave it set on low all night. 10. The display should be clear.

Well putting it in regular white rice it Williams work I know because I did it recently when i left my phone out in pouring rain for an hour it might not get rid of the smell though.
