Today, I discovered that the more money I earn, the more my personal belongings break down on me. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I realized that I spend more money on gas to go to my job than what I get paid. FML
Broke
Today, most of the stuff in my house is falling apart due to the fact that I don't have enough money to buy things that last. My lampshades ended up getting torn to shreds when I tried gently dusting them, then the base fell out of my lamp when I went to move it to clean up around it to vacuum. FML
Today, I found $20 on the ground. I'm so broke, this is the first time in 3 months that I've had any disposable income. FML
Today, I stepped on the scale and realized that I weigh more than the amount of money that I have in my bank account. FML
Adulting is getting worse
Today, after years of living week to week, I finally got enough money that I could start saving. The universe found out and I got hit with a $2,000, a $300, a $400, and a $800 bill, all within the space of a week. Bye, bye spare money. FML
Today, I bought a new $10,000 car since my old one broke down. Today, I also found out the old one wasn’t starting because i never had it in park. FML
Fall from grace
Today, I realized that over the past few months, I seem to be getting more and more prone to bumping into things, and tripping over nothing. I'm also apparently more prone to getting injured when this happens. I've always been uncoordinated, but this is getting out of hand. I'm falling apart. FML
Evening out
Today, I finally got a raise after years of hard work! Excited, I went on a shopping spree, but as I checked the latest prices, it turns out that my extra income barely covers the increase in my grocery bill. Thanks, inflation. FML
Ins and outs
Today, I finally got my paycheck from working at my minimum wage job for the last three months. I was delighted when I saw it was worth $846. On my way to cash it, I destroyed my car's suspension. It's going to cost almost $800 to fix. FML
Today, after my washing machine broke yesterday in the middle of a cycle, I went and spent $1400 on a new one. Also today, my dryer started to smoke and almost caught my clothes on fire. There goes another $1000. FML

As you earn more money, you're meant to buy better quality items...

You'll just have to learn how to repair stuff.

Sounds about right. Of course with me it all happens when I have no money as well.

The only thing I ever break is my watch, I always forget i'm wearing it when I practice boxing and have to buy one like every month. Atleast it's only £5.99.

Sorry but this comes down to the philosophy of notorious big where he refered to the phrase "mo money, mo problems" XD

Wait until you start doing your own taxes and realize that extra $200 you made during the year ends up costing you about $500 because your in a higher tax bracket.

More money you have- more stuff you buy - the bigger chance something will get broken...

Learn to live with less personal items that can break down - sell your car and buy a bicycle, sell your Ipod and learn to sing.

Such a paradox.
