Today, my friend told me that Otter Box phone cases protect the phone whether it's thrown or just dropped. I disagreed. He then threw his phone across the room into a cement wall to prove it. The phone's screen was completely shattered and now he thinks I owe him a new phone. FML

Today, I got my phone fixed after the screen had been shattered for four months straight. Then, the moment they handed it to me, it fell straight to the floor and shattered. Again. FML

I would see this as a blessing... I have a friend who has an iPhone, and I have an Android. We got into a debate one night over whose phone was better, and we discovered that our phones have basically the same capabilities, with a few differences... 1) My apps are all free, his are mostly paid for, 2) he has a thick gel case on his phone and is still afraid of dropping it, whereas I've dropped mine numerous times on accident and it's barely even scratched, and 3) his phone bill is almost $300, mine is $25. Basically the same plan. Also his phone takes 15 minutes to log out of Facebook mobile... which is pretty ridiculous...

did you not see what OP said happened when it WASNT in the otterbox? it shatters when you drop it... id know from experience... took me dropping it 5 times to finally say thats it and get a case for it. every time you drop it again after its been broken, it shatters a little bit more in another area...
