Today, I asked my mom if she thought I was straight. She looked at me and said, "Well, that's really up to you honey. But your father and I would still love you." I was asking if she thought I had parked straight. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, my mom called me into the living room to say that she had something important to tell me. She then explained how she and my dad had "talked things over" and wanted me to know that they accept me and love me no matter what. Apparently my mom thinks I'm lesbian. I'm not. FML
Denial
Today, at 18, I finally told my mom I was gay. She spent the rest of the day bringing up my "future wife" at every possible chance she had. FML
Today, I finally thought that my mother was okay with me being a lesbian. Then, over dinner, she turns to me and says, "So, do you still think you like girls, or are you going to start being normal again?" FML
Today, I was leaving to go over to a friend's and my parents suddenly ask if I'm gay. I reply that no, I'm bisexual. My mom then asks if I've ever made out with someone of the same sex and I say yes. She turns to my dad and says 'I told you so. You owe me $20'. My parents bet on my sexuality. FML
Uncertainty
Today, my parents bought me a wine glass with "Who needs a man?" painted all over it. Cute, until after dinner my mom looked me in the eyes and asked with complete sincerity, "Kara, are you gay?" My parents tried to get me to come out. I'm straight. FML
Today, I decided to introduce my girlfriend to my parents by telling them that we were gonna have a very special guest for dinner. While my mom was preparing the meal she asked, "What does he like?" I'm straight. My parents thought different. FML
Today, after weeks of thinking and playing every outcome possible in my head, I told my parents I'm gay. My dad nodded and didn't even look up from his book; my mom told me to go to the doctor if it starts to itch. FML
Today, my mom asked me, once again, if my girlfriend of almost a year is just a cover up for being gay. FML
Today, my dad seemed moody, so to lift his spirits, I told him I loved him. He just snorted, "You gay or something, boy?" Really mature, dad, really mature. FML
Uh oh
Today, after having a long talk with my mother about LGBT rights, she told me that she was totally open. I felt completely relieved, being gay myself. Seconds later, she said, "But not for you. I want you to find me a nice girl that can give me lots of grandkids." FML

decision? you honestly think there is a choice involved? That's like choosing whether or not to have vision. Or hearing. there is no choice involved. Research says that's more true for guys than for girls though.

I'm sorry, but that question was completely unclear. And seriously, what did you expect them to respond? Atleast you have their approval if the thought crosses your mind sometime ;)

Why is this an FML? I think the FML moderators are rather heterosexist

I've seen better FML's in the "moderate" section than on the actual FML section. :(

at least you're parents would love you still. do you have homophobia? cuz it kind of sounds like you are embarrassed to be even considered gay . . . which makes you lamer than your parents.

Holy shit, you're parents are supportive. You're life ******* sucks.

retards, his life is ****** because he thinks it's obvious to see he isn't gay, and his mom gave the impression that they thot there was a possibility that he was gay. simple as that. go ******* home if you can't understand english.

#120 - Uh, no. His mom thought he was asking about his sexual orientation, at which point one might suspect their son is going to come out (otherwise, why would he say anything?). Instead of leaning one way or another, she decided to show that she would support and love him no matter what he was. If he thinks his life is ******, his whiny self needs a smack upside the head. "Omg, my parents love me no matter what! FML!!!" Seriously?

Why would you ask your parents if you parked straight? It's no wonder they think you're gay...

How's this a FML? Your parents think you might be gay? Grow up, seriously.
