Today, after boarding my flight, the flight attendant looked at me and said that I had to sit elsewhere because I had to be over 14 to sit near the emergency exit. I'm 22. FML

Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, I was supposed to fly home for my dad's funeral, but the woman in the seat next to me was so obese, her bulging flesh left absolutely no way for me to sit in my seat. I complained to the stewardess, who then forced me to leave the plane just for raising my voice in frustration. FML
Today, I was sitting on a plane waiting for everyone to get on. A cute guy around my age had the option of sitting next to me or an old guy. He gave me a horrified look and immediately sat next to the old man. I got to sit next to his mother. She evil eyed me the whole time. FML
Today, I was at the airport walking around, killing time. There was a man about twenty years older than me who kept on eyeballing me, and it really wasn't flattering. I get on the plane and guess who I get to sit next to. FML
Today, I found out that if I were 2 inches shorter, I would have to sit in a booster seat in the car. I'm about to turn 22. FML
Today, I was on a plane and a cute girl was getting ready to sit down beside me, but upon making eye contact, she asked to switch seats. FML
Today, at 17 years-old, I discovered how embarrassing it is to have your kid scream on a flight and how hard it is to calm them down. FML
Today, I wasn't allowed to fly. Again. Yesterday my flight was overbooked. Today I didn't have the yellow fever vaccine. Not once was this requirement mentioned. Nobody would believe me. Luckily, it turned out that this requirement did not apply to me. They realised this after the plane left. FML
Today, I went to the airport with my mom, who requested a wheelchair for me, since I have a broken leg. I'm 24. Embarrassed, I insisted I push myself around, instead of an airline assistant doing it. A few seconds later, I crash into the same airline assistant, who then falls back into my lap. FML
Today, my parents told me that due to my lacking height and weight, I legally have to sit in a booster seat in the car from now on. I'm nineteen. FML
Today, after years of wonderful flying experiences, I boarded a flight and took my seat only to find a baby sitting in front of me, behind me, and to the right of me, and across the aisle from me. All of whom decided to cry in unison. It was a 9-hour flight. FML

Well, you are 8 months from being 20, and you already look young for your age. The suspicion seems reasonable, don't you have to be 18 to be allowed to drive solo?

You can get your drivers license at 16.

I believe it may be different for states but in the USA, you can drive at 16. In California where I'm from, you can get your permit which means you have to drive with someone over 25 with a valid license at 15 1/2. At 16, you can go into the DMV and get your license.

Where I live, you can get your permit at 14 1/2. I've been driving for four years.

Because she said she looked younger than 14 when she was actually 20, and I assumed her boyfriend was around 20 or so and looked his age. You really have no ability to read between the lines, do you? And it wasn't the first thing I thought of -- it was just the second one I submitted in writing.

We can easily assume they were doing more than just holding hands since they were boyfriend and girlfriend, and that would definitely look fishy if you thought one of them was 14 (or younger) and the other looked about 20. Now be nice to each other, RP and a_t. No fighting please.

When I moved during my senior year, the management contacted my parents telling them that I had to be at least 14 to use the pool without supervision. I was 18 at the time. When my mother told the lady my age, the response to that was, "are you sure?" -.- I'm 26 now and security at bars still take several looks between my ID and me to see if it's fake.

Looking young will pay off in the future. I'm about to be 34, and most people think I'm in my mid 20s. Not to say there's anything wrong with being 34, but appearing younger at my age has definite societal advantages.

I feel this on a personal level, I work at an elementary school and all the kids think I'm a teenager and just lying about being in my 20s. But hey, at least we age better!
