Today, a pregnant friend who is due in 2 weeks posted a picture of a baby on Facebook. I commented congratulations. She's still pregnant. It was a picture of her baby who died 3 years ago. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Foot in mouth #366
Today, I bumped into an old school friend. I'd heard she was pregnant so the first thing I did was congratulate her. Not only was she not pregnant, but the reason she managed to get so fat was because of comfort eating due to her miscarriage last month. FML
Now you know
Today, I found out my mom had a miscarriage before I was born. I had no idea about this, and the reason I found out was that she posted it on Facebook, where I'm friends with her. She feels fine posting about this to complete strangers but not talking to me about it? FML
Today, I received several texts congratulating me on my pregnancy. It turns out that my husband announced he is going to be a father on Facebook, which I don't use. I'm not pregnant. FML
Today, I found out that I'm pregnant and sent a picture of the positive test to my boyfriend. Before I got a text back from him, I saw his newly updated Facebook status, which read, "This has got to be the most depressing day of my life." FML
Today, my mother posted a video of me giving birth, on Facebook. FML
Today, my sister announced her pregnancy at my husband's funeral. FML
Today, my good friend who just had a baby girl sent her newborn's pictures to me via picture message. To reply, instead of writing "Awwwwww" I wrote "Ewwwwww" by mistake. FML
Today, my family attended the funeral of an old family friend's baby, who died in childbirth. Afterwards, my husband went around snickering and quietly telling dead baby jokes to the other attendees. FML
Today, my friend was showing me pictures of her and her family. I told her to stop at one of the pictures. I started laughing my back off and said that she looked grotesque. She asked me if I was serious, I swore that I was. It was actually a picture of her sister, who died 1 year ago. FML
Nervous
Today, at work, we were gathered to be told some bad news. One of our colleagues would be taking indefinite leave because his wife had dropped their newborn baby. I accidentally laughed at the image. FML

Perhaps that happened before the friendship began, and was never a topic of discussion.

It's not like you done it on purpose, so apologise and move on, just a note if she is a friend surely you would have known if she had the baby

Why the hell would she post a picture of her dead baby? Is she trying to make people feel sorry for her or something?!

Why would she post the picture? She asked for it...

It isn't your fault. How were you supposed to know about the dead kid. All new born babies look the same.

Or they are, but the friend didn't really want to discuss her dead baby and never brought it up with the OP... I was really good friends with someone for years before I found out they'd had a still birth, and the only reason she didn't tell me is because it was really traumatic and upsetting for her, so she never discussed it with anyone... Not because we weren't good friends!

If she didn't add a comment like, in remembrance, then FYL. If she did and you were too lazy to notice that, YDI.

Unless there was a clear caption, how the hell were you supposed to know?
