Today, a nice couple came in to buy a car. I offered to drive it out from the line of cars for them, since it was a tight squeeze. They then watched as I managed to back it straight into another car, causing a large amount of damage to both. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
The road to hell…
Today, I was trying to do a nice thing and let my friend's mom borrow my car. I went to move my mom's car that was parked behind me so that I could get my car out, and then proceeded to back into my dad's new company car. FML
Today, a guy's car broke down in my street, so I helped him push it into my driveway, checked his car out, and gave it a jump start. He thanked me, then as he went to pull out, he instead smashed straight into my car. FML
Coming through!
Today, I was driving around a parking lot, looking for an empty spot. Someone was backing out a bit too quickly as I was about to pass by, so I honked to announce myself. The driver instead panicked and reversed into my front bumper. FML
Today, a car backed into mine. I thought that was pretty bad, until another car backed into me right after I'd finished taking the first guy's info. FML
Today, I came home to find my dad had backed into my already crappy car. The reason they didn't buy me a nicer car in the first place was they were afraid I'd wreck it. FML
Goddammit
Today, while arguing with my boyfriend about how I wasn't a bad driver and could parallel park, I thought it would be easier to just let him do it. Unfortunately, while getting out of the car to switch seats, I forgot to take the car out of drive and it ran into the car in front of us. He was right. FML
Didn't see ya there
Today, a couple of friends and I were driving around town and saw a lady who had accidentally backed her car up onto a concrete wall. Laughing, we all turned to look as we passed and I drove straight into a parked police car that had stopped to help her. FML
Today, I got to drive my mom's car. I'd recently watched the new Fast and Furious movie, I thought it'd be fun to drift around a few corners. I ended up smashing straight into someone's front yard. FML
Today, as I was taking the driver's test to get my license, I backed into a car. It belonged to the instructor sitting in my passenger seat. FML
Stoking too close to the sun
Today, I was stoked to show my new car to my friends that I pulled into the parking lot a bit too fast, attempting to look cool. I accidentally hit the curb and ended up scratching the entire front bumper on a trash can that I didn't see. Now I have a busted up bumper, and my friends will probably never let me forget it. FML

You had one job

Actually, his/her job was to sell the car and OP didn't say if he/she sold the car or not. Maybe the couple still bought the car because the price was reduced. Or because they like damaged cars.

I hope that by "damaged" you mean used. who goes to a dealership to buy a car that has been keyed or has a big dent?
OzzMonster 10
I doubt OP still has a job...
markcallanan_ 20
Yes, they HAD one job.

actually even if dented or hail damage it is still new but discounted

I would think along the lines of people who work for shows like myth busters, people who race in demolition derbies, etc.

I guess they won't be buying that one then.

OP just has to buff out a few scratches and it should be good.

Did they at least make a pitty purchase

Nobody makes a "pity purchase".

Especially on a $10k+ car.
Georick7 19
Cause a person would buy a car that is ovey damaged just for pitty... Think about what you were saying

Looks like you wrecked that opportunity

Even if you can drive, sometimes they're parked poorly at mall sales and such. I've had this happen before. The trick is to go slow (under 2.5 mph) and if you hit anything else, the damage should be negligible.

You only had one job and you blew it.

If only you could drive a vehicle properly this whole situation could've been avoided

"R" does not mean "rev the engine"...it means reverse. YDI

Really? I've been lied to my whole life :/

Are you covered for that? If you are, better you than them; it would suck being a customer responsible for that. Still sucks for you though, even if you are covered!
graceinsheepwear 34
OP is an employee. Customers don't move cars on lots. It wouldn't have happened to them.
