Today, I was pouring milk into my coffee and, as it plooped into my mug, I noticed the expiration date on the jug passed two weeks ago. Nobody here drinks milk very often and I ran out of creamer, so I've been unknowingly drinking my coffee with curdled milk for the past three days. FML

Today, I discovered why the milk in my house has a funny, sweet taste. My family has been pouring the leftover milk from their cereal back into the carton. FML

Today, I found a small bottle of chocolate milk in the fridge from McDonald's. I've been living with my grandparents while going to college and figuring they'd never drink it themselves, I took a sip. It had expired two years ago. FML
Today, I learned there is a taste difference between grabbing a glass of milk that has been sitting on your night table for a week and the one you put on there 3 minutes before. FML
Today, I saw my mom changing the expiry date on milk. She genuinely thought this would make the milk sour later. FML
Today, I decided to have some bagels. It was only after I ate them that I looked at the cream cheese and discovered that it expired 3 years ago. FML
Today, I really wanted something to drink. I looked in the fridge, and found some of my grandma's soy milk. I took a swig, and instead of tasting soy, I tasted something rotten. Turns out my grandma knows I drink her soy milk, so she swapped it with expired chicken broth. FML
Today, my roommate thought that "sour milk" would taste like sour candy. She left a jug of milk out for two days, then took a huge gulp, vomited everywhere, and dropped the jug. Now the kitchen stinks of rotten dairy. FML
Today, as a barista, I tried to be quick during the morning rush. Someone asked for oat milk, so I grabbed the carton without checking. It wasn’t oat milk, it was the cleaning solution bottle we keep under the counter, same shape, same colour cap. Luckily I noticed before serving it, but my manager watched the entire thing in silence. FML
Today, the host family that I'm staying with in China gave me a small milk box to drink. It tasted a bit tangy and sour, but I thought that was probably just the taste of milk in China. Trying to be polite, I practically chugged the whole box. Later, I found out that it had expired 20 days ago. FML

Milk is good for 2 weeks after the expiration date. While it is taste sour It better for cooking. ( I work at a grocery store and this is bad on why my boss said and the cooking is based on experience).

Milk has a sell by date. It is usually, not always, good for up to a week after that sell by date. I'm not sure how you could not have noticed the smell or taste.

Sour milk is often used in cooking. Most notably in pancakes, cakes, waffles....It can be used to make cheese. If it's curdled, it needs to go, but sour milk doesn't need trashed.

I have had milk that was from last month that still tasted ok and smelled ok. Always trust your nose and taste buds.

Op here, I probably didn't notice either because I used very little milk or because I had an excessive amount of sugar masking the rotten milk flavor. It didn't make me sick at all. Also I'm basically asleep when I get up for coffee, hence the name ZombieMommy.

Well you're still here, it cant be that bad. Seriously most expiry dates are complete rubbish and they are only put on because they have to. Had some hot chocolate the other night, can expired 2013, it was fine. You lot should have around before expiry dates were added, nothing had expiry dates. you could buy food, drink that could have been on the shelf for years, no joke.
